Gibberings CXLVI: I've Seen Things, I've Seen Them With My Badgers

Right, took off the plug thing and took of a load of black tape, i think the black bit was rubber under though so after a few failed attempts i just rammed the bastard over the end until it stuck

Finished result:

=D, ran the sink tap and that was fine, no leaks or owt, is there any obvious shit i've missed or shall i try it? Tyvm b&w :)

just bought a new washer and had it plumbed in too.

think you might need another white bit o' pipe so it tubes up, and then you can drop the hook over it.

BUT you may just get away with taking the end off the white one and hooking the waste D pipe over the white one. But just check that the sink waste doesn't/can't splash out ..

if that makes sense

probably doesnt

I've just got in. I too find this problem in EADD interesting!

[edit]
oh, you've done it. with duct tape. lol, always always a pleasure to use that.

Congrats! ... and I hope it doesn't start pissing out water.

Duct tape was on it already, holding the cap thing in place, i just ripped off as much as i could and rammed the thing on it. Not sure if its more duct tape or a rubber thing on the end of the T, i think some rubber thing. Doesnt leak at all with the sink, il try a simple wash now n see what happens

What a adventure lol

The sink wont leak with it like that ( I wouldn't of thought, unless there's a blockage to the outside drain at some point in the future), but I'm pretty sure you need to hook the D curve over (and down) into the white so the force of the water draining doesn't make it shoot off where it connects (like it might in the position it's in now)

Good luck tho!

LOL @ Crackheid

What bit isnt working Kronos?

[edit]

OooooOo! moar badgers... nice one MODS <3

Pretty much all of it, take like 5 restarts to do a cycle and atm it wont drain, i think because you're right about the drain connection point thing not being the lowest or it wont work. Drain Hose is too short to pull much more through aswel

Oh and the bit that did drain i think leaked a bit. Plus it makes the sink smell dodgy and make strange noises

And it randomly stops what its doing and all the lights start flashing

And it burns through leccy insanely fast.

All in all, not one of my better purchases

Hi ColourfulKronos, I think I've spotted a blockage in one of your photos.

Is there anything more tragic than someone trying to be controversial?

&lold alb, that would explain the smell and strange noises..

The washer will be spazzing cos it can't do what it wants with the water etc etc.

The smell will be cos its joined/opened up your sink pipe, they always smell (and youre using duct tape, and the D isnt hooked over and is on the same level)

eh, and other things

Stop wasting leccy, leave it be and buy more bits tomorrow (like B & W predicted)

I can take a pic of mine later when I've popped out, and poss link you to the kind of bit you need (ebay are normally loads easier and cheaper than Bee n Poo)

personally I'd leave it be for now and go down a beer or summat.

and many LOLs at Alby's photoplop

Also, if youre desperate to use it, you could put yer plumbing back as it was, and if it's long enough, just hook the drain D hook over your sink unit, so it drains via your sink.

Hi marmz. I thought his pipe has the plastic hooky bit on the end cos the machine used to be hooked into an open ended waste bolted vertically to the wall. I was thinking he needs a screwy fixing to join the hose to the t on the waste trap. I lack the technical terms :)

ebays good if you know exactly what you want but sometimes face to face with accompanying photos is the best way so you don't end up with the wrong bit. But you're right, 50% of the time the best diy decision is to walk away and return another time.

I lolled at Alb and ptch. We need more humour round these parts.

Nah just wanted to get it working n set up since i've done fuck all today. Aye il take your sound advice :D, few vals and a spliff instead of a beer though. Cheers for all the help guys x
