No. I was immediatelly enamoured and hooked by them. My mind had been in turmoil for years, and to suddenly have peace from the constant negative aotomatic thoughts and paranoia and other associated shit was far too seductive to turn down.

I think everybody who's ever suffered from anxiety feels the same when they take their first benzo, but it's crucial to remember that they're highly addictive and only to be used sparingly.

Have you had an alcohol problem in the past?

Indeed it is. Though benzo addiction's a shitter too. To say nothing of the long-term side-effects of habitual benzo use.

Not that I want to put a downer on things...

in my first year of uni i drank heavily and would be craving alcohol by late afternoon, on my journeys home from uni i would stop off for 1 pint at the pub closest to home and more or less down it in one. But once i was home with my parents i didnt drink during the week, just saved it up for the weekend binges. So i suppose the answer is i almost had an alcohol problem, but i never saw it as such. Such was the welsh students drinking culture amongst my peers.

@ bodda (sorry I have awful net atm) - we don't do Christmas :D and will be another working day . I don't get a tree, don't put stuff on the walls etc. We buy stuff for each other all the time, we don't need a reason ?

If I can have anything - I wish you all happiness and a safe year.

I have worked Xmas before, kinda sucked really but it was in Security so my work wasn't that hard.

The same to you lot on here as Bearlove said "If I can have anything - I wish you all happiness and a safe year."

i was aware of that, but of course once under the influence its very easy for you mind to say "fuck it". I admit it crept up on me and caught me unawares, i suddenly realised ive been taking them every day for 6 weeks, by that point i was scared to stop.

haha - nice to see you back:)

Cheers! ;)

I think that kind of drinking culture is pretty common among British students to be honest!

That'll be the cognitive impairments and shonky judgement at work. :D

You'd have been fine after six weeks IME. A bit of discomfort and insomnia, but nothing serious.

Indeed, benzo addiction is a shit state of affairs, would be horrific to be addicted to those things the stuff ive about people trying to get off them. just a shame theres not better treatment. im skeptical about doing benzos 2 days in a row let alone a daily basis, fuck that

As for the booze, very nearly ended up an alki in my late teens, had some minor alcohol w/d

I think i was at the extreme end of the scale amongst the students from other places of the UK, but amongst my old welsh friends who went to different unis i was the alcohol light weight when we all came home from our different unis. One of them does have an alcohol problem now from what i have gathered.

Im honestly not that worried. A gradual taper can work just fine. Of course its not gonna be without its problems, but i was greatly encouraged when i did a partial etiz reduction a few months ago, it seems do-able to me. Of course im not recommending anyone else to do what ive done. Anyway got to go and do some college work.

Laters people, off for the last half of my Iceland Pizza & a Coffee, got my last bit of mxe too after my dinner.
Goddamn stuff is starting to burn my nose though, lines yesterday for some reason felt like sniffing 2-CB :(

I am the god of hell fire and I bring you:
Fire
I'll take you to burn.
Fire
I'll take you to learn.
I'll see you burn!

Have a good night people.

mydrugbuddy you sound so much different these days after getting off the penz or whatever it was, good on you man

I'm sure it's just a typo but this made me chuckle... it definitely reminds me of the way my thought processes don't quite work in the correct way when on benzos =D

I was in the bath damn j00. Grammar and spelling get a free pass when you're splashing about. It's in the BLUA.
