he was such a nice charming sounding guy, i know a few people who have met him and said he was a lovely really intelligent person, ive known him since 07 on car forum and then here and hes always stuck out in my mind, for fuck sake

I liked Cornish alot, strange how someone you only know from text on a screen can make you feel bad when they have gone.

You gotta invest in karma. It's like a pension fund.

yeah not only that, if you 'wrong' someone you usually feel worse about it than the person you have wronged anyway.

The bottom line is that helping others makes you feel good. I had a discussion about this with someone at Uni and they were disgusted with me when i said that i (try to) help others to feel better about myself. I was only being honest. I think if everyone was honest they would say the same thing. Or am i wrong about that ?

I like giving to buskers, but only if they are good. And i cant walk past a beggar when Im high without dropping a couple of quid into their polystyrene cups. I rarely do that if im completely sober.

Some of us are just naturally altruistic and brimming with kind intentions toward our fellow man.

It's one hell of a cross to bear, believe me.

The fact that trying to help others makes you feel good says something positive about what is important to you. That you describe your motivation by focussing on the good feeling is irrelevant, we all do the things we get good feelings from, so it's more a matter of what falls in the "causes good feelings" column rather than whether we're looking in that column, or some other column of the metaphorical table I just made up, to find our motivations.

I'll be publishing my feelings table shortly. Issues with the computer just now. And I think the layout might need revised.
