When you plan your trip to Byron Bay ( and you will, its a given) give us a call.

It is election day here and that means one thing. Sausage sizzle breakfast at the polling booth!!

My daughter is genuinely shocked that I am voting to the right. Her mother and all our friends are hippies/leftish unwashed so she just assumed I was too. I had to quietly inform her that most refugees come to Australia via planes not the "scary boats" that seems to swamp the political debate here. I also pointed out the Pope doesn't believe in homosexuality, let alone gay marriage. This blew her 10 yr old catholic school girl mind.

Yesterday I taught her how to spiral pass a rugby ball properly and introduced her to rib eye on the bone done n the BBQ. Later tonight we will watch the All Blacks play Argentina whilst listening to some solid Dub tracks. Her mind will then be daddy's.....

Woooo good morning. Nice day, off out for a ramble round the fields and forests later in hope of mushrooms but mainly to get out of the house. I told missus Snolly that I was nervous of murderers/dead bodies in the woods and she goes 'oh pet you're adorable'.

BUT I AM! I'm terrified of finding a corpse in the woods or getting stabbed up. Last time I went for a walk round the woods I took my pipe and some weed and I got almost to the board walk over the springs before I remembered Marble Hornets.
 
I was out looking for porcinis the other day.

I think my best spot has been found as last year i found a few cut off stems when i went. So am looking for new bits of woodland.

Also think it gonna be a few more weeks even for the porcinis, found none, nor any cut stems.
 
^ ever seen a fly agaric round your way ?

I know they appear in kent but not seen one myself....not even sure if i'd trust myself to i.d it properly
 
fucking loads, and in the Midlands, they're everywhere...


And possibly one of the easiest to identify of any species.

never tried one though, look a bit iffy to me.
 
Yeah theyre pretty distinctive but theres a difference between knowing you've picked the right shroom....and being sure you've picked the right shroom once your mind starts slipping and your throwing your guts up...:)

You should put traps like they do over here, I live in the truffle region, there's an annual festival in the town 40 kms south of me where some of those truffles get sold to American and Japanese restaurants for like 200k, insane prices, some of the truffle collector place hunting traps to protect their spot, happens that people get caught in them and end up losing limbs.
 
Same here, pregabalin lifts my mood enormously, such a soft cushy effect that reminds me of low-dose GHB, but more clear and subtle.
I'm still being scripted 600mg per day, but I have tapered down to 150mg a while ago. Is nice to grow a little stockpile of this stuff %)
 
Just got home from a sleepless booze and 4-fa mash up, g between both of us, my ticker aint feeling too sexy. and i recall getting into a religious debate
 
Oh to be young again like ColtDan,haven't had an all nighter in years.
Double dose of methadone today and couple of vallies to help ensure a nicely chilled out afternoon.

Haha I totally get that. Luckily I've never lived near woods so it's not a fear I have to confront too often and I haven't had to admit it to many people yet. But I have enough trouble in people's gardens at night :|
 
Bloody tooth veneer is out again, so my front tooth exposed is some horrible black snaggle thing, hours drive off to get it fixed, oh and I swallowed it so thats a nice £180 dentist bill to get it fixed, lovely saturday.

Anyway managed to get to get a shit load of codeine out of it.
