@shambles....Have you spoken to Folley about the "more than ten cases" of SS she's personally witnessed, at the age of 17 yet?

i had ss myself in 2001 when i was taking fuckloads of ecstasy every day ontop of my effexor.nearly bolloxed up my liver and kidneys for life had to go to hospital. it was bad..not as bad as yours evidently
 
i have a question for a mod ..somebody is using a bl acc belong to someone else and is pm'ing me..what should i do

I can add some levity to the topic though =D

I don't really remember much of it specifically other than the agony. That shit was truly indescribable. Was convulsing for several hours solid and bent backwards at an angle no spine could conceivably get to without snapping. Not nice :|

There was a somewhat entertaining (even at the time... sort of) aspect to the delirium side though. I was utterly convinced I was some unnamed pagan god. The floor beneath me was the world laid out like an atlas - vivid as fuck it was complete with mountains and oceans and weather systems and all you would expect for a god's eye view - and I was pissing like a racehorse whilst striding back and forth nekkid (had long since stripped off cos I was so unfeasibly hyperthermic). In my mind I was a god of rain and storms just doing what a stormgod does - pissing everybody else off with unseasonable weather =D

Funny but also very true. Cannot believe to this day how much I pissed that night. Luckily I have just vinyl flooring cos it must've been 1/4" deep in places 8o

i was getting on grand with him/her after i mentioned my 9 grams in 4 weeks sesh ..and he said it was ahem cool :-)
then folley said he was taking 2cb+mda+dmt and i said folley u will end up like steven hawkings in a wheelchair from the ss .. cant rem his answer :-P

I've see a lot of people throw around their "knowledge" of SS, based entirely on assumptions and word of mouth. I hope Folley doesn't do that considering he/she's never out of ED...

2cb+mda+dmt sounds good. mdma and dmt is amazing

shouldnt have sniffed the 5-MAPB earlier, bad move for me. felt good off the bomb as well, no need to hoof up lines
 
Trammies: That's the most freaky part. Wasn't even an especially risky combo. Is listed as a potential SS risk but nowt like as obviously dodgy as MDMA + DXM (off the top of me head) and other notorious SS risk combos. Was just tramadol + acid is all. And only a low dose of tramadol (I'd just been prescribed it a coupla days before - took two 50mg doses: one morning and one evening) and a properly strong (350ug I think) acid tab. Not a shonky acid tab either - they were clean as fuck and lush too and had taken 'em many times before and after with no problem. Was combining (unknowing of the rather remote risks) with tramadol that did it. Such outcomes are certainly rare... but they really do happen to real people sometimes - even people like me who've done way riskier stuff many times without problem.

worst combo ive done before is mixing booze, mxe, meph and mdma, send me round the twist, felt wrong after that. surprised i aint broken myself after mixing mxe with stuff, sent myself completely fucked up for hours, constantly feeling like i was about to die, apparently on the floor making weird noises, sent a house full of us nuts, mxe at house partys... twisted times. that SS sounds horrific

Wow, just shows the unlikely can happen, with drugs. Like drug allergies, no one ever expects them, but they do happen, which is why HR tells us to allergy test first. Although, I'm sure I'm not the first to admit I usually don't.
Although with RCs I usually do :D
 
Ya. Was quite the reminder that we are all mortal, Trammies. Never would have thought for a second I'd end up like that from such a comparatively innocuous combo. It is listed as an SS risk on all the tramadol info sites though. Just never would've thought of LSD as being one for such major interactions as it's so benign on its own :\

Is why it's best to read up on any drugs and combos you might take even when you don't think any of the elements could conceivably pose a risk. Cos in combo things can spin waaaaay outta control every now and then. A harsh lesson well learned :|

Is a tale I've told many times in many places on BL so some may be bored of it long ago... but I only keep banging on about it cos if I could only express how truly horrendous that experience was and prevent somebody else from combining things without thinking I'd die a happy man.
 
hang on a sec i think ive nearly induced SS before, after a right bender, went into this state of feeling terror and under thread, locked up, confused, depersonalised and hyper aware, heart banging, stood there wide eyed like a nutter in this guys living room turning in circles rubbing my hands together and tripping out could hardly string a sentence together then ran off. felt shakey and awful after, thought id done some nerve damage or fucked myself up. or maybe it was just a panic attack. it triggers again if i do too many stims and i feel dysphoric and weird

in other news from aston sides i got asked by a pair of racists if i would walk down witton road* now. (like an hour or so ago) my reply :"not in this weather, no." thankfully their taxi pulled up before they pulled my hair out and scratched my eyes out. funny villa fans considereing who scored today. one a birmingham lad bred of nigerian folks the other a belgian boy of i don't know what parentage....and guess who was driving them home in their taxi? good job there are some nice irish immigrants to serve them beer

*witton road is in aston inhabited mainly by people with more melanin than me. (anyone has more melanin than me for i am half ginger)

Sounds more like a heavy panic attack to me but a nasty one. With added stim manicness. Or maybe relatively mild SS. Not for me to say though. SS is not caused by stims alone - tends to be triggered by combos of certain types of drugs. Obviously with at least one being a serotonergic. MAOi is the obvious one to look out for but certain SSRI/SNRI drugs can be the trigger too. Look up the combo you took and see if it's a known risky one. There are plenty but most are pretty rare unless you're on certain medications. Most recreational drugs shouldn't be a problem with a few exceptions. And YMMV as ever. Am far from medically knowledgable so is just what I've read up on meself - research is your friend :)

As the others said, either report them in the same way you'd report a post, if they are troubling you or are abusive/sourcey or something else against the BLUA.. otherwise forward them to one of us and explain what the issue is :)

Hey hey night-crew :) am pleasantly fuzzy-headed and floaty so not going to be up for much longer, been tied up with mod-bizniz and faffing pleasantly all evening so not had a chance ro post in here really.. hopefully now MM and Knock can do all the donkey work I can start properly socialising again! ;)

Re SS - def do your rsearch, plenty of info on here and elsewhere :) some combos are dodgier than others.. As Shambles said MAOI + serotonergic drug is the absolute worst, followed by a serotonin releaser + reuptake inhibitor (SSRI or SNRI, tramadol being the latter) as that combo floods your synapses with serotonin which can then not be reuptaken as usual, potentially leading to levels skyrocketing . One of those things that some people manage to get away with despite doing dangerous combos where as others (like Shammy :( ) get caught out by things that might not even cross your mind. Drugs with non-obvious serotonergic activity can really catch you out - DXM is a classic example, as is pethidine. As Shambles can attest, it is REALLY something you do not want to get :| (<3 to Shammy)

That does sound more like overdoing the stims causing your fight or flight response to be ramped up triggering unpleasant symptoms and panic, Dan, but SS is a continuum so it could potentially have been the milder end, as Shams said.. doesn't sound much fun though <3
