New Homeland episode currently on the download.

Is there a more victimless crime than stealing big, popular American TV Shows off the internet?

Yes, and if you hit 'refresh' your browser will take you to a site all about it.

=D

I've still not caught up with yesterday's downloads other than Peep Show. Got proper pissed off last night when I'd been looking forward to the new episode of The League, actually saving it until I was stoned enough lol, then I realised that I'd downloaded the previous week's one twice & there was no new episode last week :(

haha nice one Jancrow :D

Anyone watching Sons of Anarchy? I feel like the latest season is kinda bad, compared to the brilliance of the earlier ones

See I thought that season was better than this one.

Its still great don't get me wrong, just feels a bit lazy and bland.

Anyway, time for Homeland, no arguments about that from anyone I imagine

Homeland is actually really good. I thought this 2nd series was was going to be shite, pleasantly surprised. Hopefully blondie (yes, after nearly 2 full series, I still can't remember her name) gets rattled stupid again lol.

Before this one started I had wished that he'd blown himself up at the end of season 1 & they didn't make anymore but I'm glad they kept it going

The SOA series in Ireland was fucking awful. The fact that they were all wanted on mad federal charges but had smuggled themselves (& their fucking motorbikes!!!) to Ireland just made it automatically shite from the start.

I think I might have fucked homeland for myself by foolishly turning on Channel 4 at the time Peep Show was meant to start and catching what looked like an enormous revelation going down.

i just find it amusing when hendrix is promoted as the best guitarist who has ever lived when he is probably not even in the top ten - were it possible to make such a list

deff not the best. inspirational and influential but technically pretty shit compared to people around now. steveie ray vaughn was a lot better. one of my faves, and did some amazing hendrix covers

why on earth would someones manager want to kill them. doesnt really make sense

Still haven't found the doc, but the manager took out a substantial life insurance policy on Jimi as an artist and at the time he was completely fucking things up and was worth more to his manager dead than alive.

Now that I have 5 mins I'll spend them googling the topic, see if I can find a link.

edit:http://www.independent.co.uk/news/p...-by-his-manager-says-former-aide-1693583.html

This covers what I'm talking about, but I can't find the video. And no I don't read the Independent. :p

BHM - who would be in your top 3 ?

most people probably will not recognise the people i rate but..

its difficult to say, slide or all round?

best slide player ever i reckon is blind willie johnson. rated by clapton as number one, music went on the gold disc into space on voyager etc EDIT - oh yeah HE WAS BLIND

willie mctell & fred mcdowell get honourable mentions

all round is probably a guy called robert johnson. could do anything on a guitar, faster and better than almost anyone else (blind willie is supreme at slide). plus he has a cool backstory. probably the worlds first rockstar

those are the only two i am certain of. second & third is more contentious in my mind

many of the great blues guitarists that play syncopted bass (dont know if thats the term) with their thumb at the same time as high quality slide leaves me impressed. listening to robert johnson it seems at times as if there are 3 people playing

many great guitarists were never recorded

Just got informed by girlthing that my pet rabbit attacked my housemate.

Oops =D

BHM - I like how you threw around some names there that I have never heard of then said "a guy called Robert Johnson" as if folk wouldn't know about him lol. You probably didn't mean it like that, just how it reads. Everyone finds out who you are when you sell your soul ;)

You're right though. Robert Johnson was incredible, cool back story, unique sounding voice & fucking amazing at guitar.

I asked out of interest, I'm not well informed enough to attempt such a list, those I would say I admire would be from quite a narrow and limited range of music that I've listened to, but I'll share the ones that come to mind:-

Keith Levene

Steve Jones

Lemmy

I'm no muso TBH and shunned anything other than electronic sounds for a number of years.....and all the twiddly Floyd type shinanigans does little for me although I can appreciate the skill
