On the FB topic:
I find it very useful, it's a completely different way off keeping in touch with people, it's a passive mean of communication, I can write something on my wall and be able to reach people with the message, I don't have to initiate contact, like with email or Skype.
For instance if tomorrow I were to fly back home I would only need to post about it and I would ge immediate feedback from dozens of my friends. Matter of fact I would get people asking me whether I needed to be picked up at the airport or if I wanted to have a house party to celebrate me coming back.
Same thing if I were to go to London, merely saying I'm about to go there would immediately translate into people asking whether I needed to crash on their couch. I would have never been able to keep in touch with so many people if it weren't for it, people all over the world.
