Gibberings CXCV - Back in the day we'd change a thread title and it'd stay changed

Much better, Felix. Take notes, Sammy, you need them.

How're you and darling Kate doing today, Felix?

Thank you Ms Lane for asking, I'm nae bad, rather emotional with the election thingymajig. Did I read you are not feeling too well? Hopefully you will be able to get some comfort and nurture to help that out from someone close by! <3

Do you have to work Saturdays? :(

So basically, you just said in school that your grandfather was Irish, and didn't fight in the war?

I did have two grandfathers, y'know? :)

Neither of them fought. As for traumatic, being called all sorts of lovely names wasn't exactly traumatic, but not pleasant.

Nobody's EVER asked me what my grandfather did in the war. I'll tell you now: he was a Sergeant in the Catering Corps.

My dad used to joke that he killed more Brits than Germans, thanks to his cooking. ;)

:D

lol :)

now for something more serious

Child abuse images deface Nazi Mauthausen camp website
_82856304_mautentrafp.jpg

Hackers have put child abuse images on the memorial website of the Mauthausen concentration camp in Austria, 70 years after the Nazis' WW2 defeat.
The website was quickly deactivated by the company managing it, a message on it reads. The Austrian interior ministry is investigating the attack.
Interior Minister Johanna Mikl-Leitner called it a "criminal, sick attack and deeply abhorrent".
The Nazis killed more than 100,000 people at Mauthausen in 1938-1945.
The camp - one of the most notorious and biggest in the Third Reich - was liberated by US troops in May 1945. On Sunday there will be commemorations of the liberation at Mauthausen.

The exact death toll is not known. Inmates, many of them Jews, were starved, tortured or gassed to death. Others died of exhaustion through hard labour.
Many Soviet prisoners-of-war and Spanish Republicans were also among the victims. Many sub-camps were also set up near the main camp.
Austrian officials suspect that far-right extremists may have carried out the attack, as such extremists have hacked several websites in recent months, Austria's Der Standard news website reports.
The head of Austria's Mauthausen Committee - a group promoting human rights and democracy - condemned the hack.
Willi Mernyi said it was "obnoxious and reveals the mindset of the hackers"

You're most welcome. I have the sniffles so of course I think I am dying :P I work most saturdays sadly! And I am commuting atm which always makes me grouchy!

I know I'm no that old, but in 20 years time you'll realise how debilitating a fucking cold is.

Enjoy your wee sniffle. ;)

Oh I will lol. I actually think my body is shutting down now so I need to pick up and head home to my bed!

Edit: I am now pleased. A usually painfully dragged out experience went smoothly, now for a wee pint then a train and I can gather myself up in my bedding. Awww yissss.

Hi guys, any chance there's a support group going on for those having suicidal thoughts following the election results? :|

Exaggerating obviously. But still.
