Gibberings CXCV - Back in the day we'd change a thread title and it'd stay changed

Afternoon to you.

We're just back from the polling station, where we handed in our postal votes. I've just setup a TV in between our computer desks so we can watch election shit while we internet. It's a very futuristic setup and I'm extremely proud of it. :p

Good luck to the SNP, though not that they will need it. I'll be pleased to see an absolute whitewash I hope.

Since I'm no longer in Scotland, (unfortunately), I'll be casting my vote to Labour in a couple of hours.

Let's hope Ed Miliband retracts his SNP stance and holds the balance of power come morning time.

You handed in a postal vote??

Please explain.

Not sure which bit needs explained, but here goes:

1. We've had postal votes setup for years, so we could (for example) go on holiday, or work offshore, or work abroad, without losing the chance to vote. We were in Italy during referendum week.

2. There is an iota of paranoia from the aforementioned referendum that postal votes can be tampered with. Tinfoil hats ahoy.

3. Anyone is perfectly entitled to hand their completed & sealed postal vote into a polling station on polling day. Many Scottish people are doing so, because of 2., believe it or not. Yes, it's a thing.

Well, any vote can be miscounted. If I was bothered enough to set up a postal vote, I'd post it.

Ronseal an' all that.

Work is over so I get to go home and hermit. Bloody dealer is doing his usual.
