So I went back to work for the morning.. that's going to take some getting used to without a chemical, it's so fuckin tedious..:\ early days.. I'm off to see my boy now anyway so he'll cheer me up.

A squad of sparrows moved into the patch out the back this past fortnight and have been causing an absolute ruckus! Just had to go separate a few that were "ooh-ing" and "aah-ing" over some commotion. They seem to be coexisting well with the blackbirds, tits, starlets, wood pigeons and such though.

50-odd short gallons -- the Pilgrim Fathers forgot there are 20 fluid ounces in a pint, not 16, and as a result American liquid measures have been short ever since. Why they couldn't just start using the proper units like everybody else is anyone's guess. Anyway, 55 US gallons is roughly 250 litres.

If we assume the product was 100% pure and you applied 0.025 ml. of the stuff straight onto a blotter, you'd have enough for ..... 40 doses per ml., is 40 000 per litre, times 250 litres; taking out a factor is 4 times 10 000 times 250; rearranging the factors is 10 000 times 250 times 4, is 10 000 000 doses. That's ten million. A bit hard to believe .....

Thanks Julie... funnily enough I've some yanks staying at my parents at the moment and imperial gallons and short measures came up over dinner.. exciting stuff 8)

10 million doses of acid... That'd keep Ismene going for a good year :D
