Couple of hours with no posts!!

Just got back from viewing a couple of rooms in shared houses. One of them I preferred the actual house as a whole, was a much cleaner nicer looking place, but the other one I saw I preferred the actual room, mostly because it was really two rooms, the bedroom has an adjoining room that is only accessible from the bedroom that is for rent, and they both have beds in so it would be great for visitors to stay over in too. It is also about 2 miles closer to work and within walking distance which is a bonus. The nicer room has the landlord living in the same house though which is a bit of a negative thing I think, is better when the landlord lives in their own house, which the room with the nicer house has. The nicer house place seemed to have a lot more competition for the room, whereas the nicer room place seemed to suggest that if I wanted to live there then I could tell them tomorrow that I had made that decision and it would be mine. I think I'm going to go for the nicer room that is closer to work.

That was far too confusing to follow so I'll just suggest you dont take the place with the live in landlord.

Everyone on FB posting about how they need/want/are enjoying a beer, glass of wine, jager etc ... anyone would think alcohol was a bloody drug or something 8)
 
Ha, reading it back it is a bit confusing. Basics are one room is further away from, live out landlord and a nicer house, second place is two rooms for the price of one, closer to work, not as good a house and a live in landlord.

If they were both the same distance to work then I'd go for the one without the live in landlord, I think I'm leaning towards the one with the live in landlord and closer to work is because I only have until the 31st to find somewhere and if I don't find somewhere then I have no place to live and will have to run back to live with my dad and be unemployed. Also seems like the place with the live in landlord is almost guaranteed to have me as a tenant.

I don't know her well, but I like her from what you've posted (and what I've stalked ;) ).

Sam, ignore everyone, and keep her as a buddy. You both do tons for each other and it works generally.

She's hawt and lovely and supportive and you get on generally. It's not a bad situation. It's not what I'd class as a generic post-couple relationship anyways. Stay as you are and ignore those naysaying
