Morning all. A little bit hungover But with the cold light of day comes the realisation that I'm obsessed with your waste too Marmz!

Drains, sewers & sewage works are designed for people to be flushing food waste, and the way it decomposes once in the water system isn't very green. I know that cos i looked into getting one of those under sink waste disposal units that turn food waste into slurry and wash it away with the water waste & apparently they're not green

Also you can buy biodegradeable bin liners. Much cheaper, you can wrap it in newspaper before putting it in the bin. I'm guessing your council don't do food waste collections? And you have your admirable compost heaps, I'#d love to see the garden that goes with them.
