I'm not so keen on hedgehogs after reading how they attack chickens and eat eggs Kate. I know we're all just trying to get by in this world. Did the rescue place take it? The chicken house has another squatter now, they clearly haven't heard of the new law.

MMs pictures of fish are exactly why i can't eat them, so disgusting to look at, smell & touch. They may be delicious to eat but i can't get past the look, more fool me I know.8)

I cant see how a hedgehog is going to catch a chicken they've only got little legs. I couldnt even catch a chicken they run about dementedly if they think they're being chased. More likely the chicken tried to peck the hedgehog and got scratched by a spike.

Lovely cat BAW its got a really healthy looking coat.
 
Kate I'd love to have a drink and get a smoke on with you, we'd be a nightmare :D We'd either get up to hi-jinx or natter like two old women (which we are).

As of yesterday me & chickens were great but yesterday the dog attacked Dotty the cuckoo maran. Blood & feathers. She laid this morning like a trooper though, I think as long as infection doesn't get her she'll pull through.

YPDH my chickens 'squat' for me, they think they're gonna get laid. I rub their backs and they bliss out, shake themselves off and spark up a fag.

My chickens had a full on face off with a hedgehog that insisted it was sleeping in their nestbox, again a lot of feathers. I've got no doubt he'd have sunk his little gnashers in.

I let the chickens in the veg patch and they decimated it but i guess it all going into the eggs so swings and boutarounds.

Aye, hedgehogs just seem to sit about doing nothing, they're never moving at any speed and don't seem very vicious. I guess they're called chickens for a reason though. ;)

Just boshed a valium...or a tablet bought for 0.003 pence from a Peruvian pharmacy claiming to be valium anyway. Wish me luck.
 
Gosh you have reminded of Badger the hedgehog - we put some mushed up cat foot out for him / her once the cats were in for the night. I so hope we see him tomorrow so we can take him to the rescue centre for treatment. If all well he can be returned to our garden.

I get all emotional about the wildlife around us. We have a fox too. Our cats hate them tho'/

Cats eh.

hedgehogs can run quite fast n speedy but not enough to worry a chicken I wouldnt of thought
 
Only ones I've seen have been curled up in balls or mashed into the road after being run over.
