just makes sense, get all your bills going out on the first of the month, or whenever the most regular earner gets paid....you wouldn't rinse it, I'm sure.

We are quite lucky, wife gets monthly pay which covers mortgage, council tax, all bills, all direct debits....and posties still get weekly pay, so we never get too skint.
 
Yeah it does make sense, actually, I think she'd be quite surprised if I mentioned it and double surprised that inspiration came from one of my 'dodgy internet friends'. :sus:

It's funny, I've grappled and struggled in the past not to commit to the more grown-up aspects of this relationship but it's feeling more and more like we're a solid team, it's good.

Good news :) How long you been living together?

I think we'd been together for about 6 years before we got round to getting a joint account, and was much LESS friction over cash once we got the joint account.....it became a joint responsibility, rather than one of you trying to blame the other for something not being paid on time, or wondering which one was at fault for incurring 150 quids worth of bank charges some months.....
 
Jancrow, i'm so happy for you that your relationship is going strong, i hope you know how lucky you are, i'm finding it so hard to find a partner! im at work so often and im not managing to get out very much, so that makes things difficult!

I just finished with someone about a month ago, we were ok together very sexualy compatible as well, but i had to end it because she didn't want kids, that and the fact that the crazy bitch flushed all my antipsyches and anxiety meds! total lack of empathy around mental health problems! I just can't be with someone like that :(

How is all the peeps today?

Cheers Acid, that's much appreciated, it all took a battering due to very bad things which were going on in my life, in fact it started while those things were happening and was kind of battered from the start, but life is a lot better now and we seem to be knocking the dents back out together which is excellent.

Sorry about your break-up, I see that you probably weren't made for each other if that was her approach... was she of the opinion that you should just try and sort yourself out without recourse to meds, ie 'pull yourself together'? In this day and age it's actually quite a shock when you encounter someone who's completely unsympathetic in that department, but I guess some people have little to no first-hand or close experience of mental health problems. Keep trying man, she'll turn up when you least expect it.
 
Thanks Jancrow, i hope she turns up soon! Yeah she was defo a 'pull your socks up' kind of person, but thats just not that easy when you havea chemical inbalance in you're brain! She didn't really stimulate me mentally either so it would never of been a long term thing.

From your posts on here it seems your ms must be a lucky lady!

lol, I've changed my approach to him, and I think he's changed his approach to me.

he was right about a few of the reasons he claimed I didn't get on with him too.

And he's generally not being such an abrasive cock as he used to be.

I'm sure he won't mind me saying this. %)
 
MM i'm glad there has been a turn around, last time i was on bl it was a bit like an internet war! It seems things have settled now, which i'm glad about :)
