Gibberings CLXXXVII - Feeling Funky (monkey)

I can never understand why people like pregabalin..... I ended up taking about 250 of the 300mg capsules back to the chemist because I couldn't stand them....made me feel sick to my stomach, extremely dizzy and just feel plain stupid....like a horrible brain fog.... Each to their own, YMMV, FWIW, etc. etc. etc....

I've been taking pregabalin for 5 days now to help with meth(adone) withdrawal and the only side effects I have now are a constantly dry mouth and a bit of a 'fuzzy head' (which is quite nice tbh). Though when I first had them they made my kidneys ache like buggeryfuck, but that has subsided. Had 900mg today and got through work fine. Seem to be doing the job for me anyway.

Pleased it's not just me who finds it like that NE.... It makes me nauseous too.
It's also notorious for making people gain weight as it's seems to increase appetite.

While I haven't looked deeply into it, by calcium blocker I'm sure that means calcium channel blocker at the cellular level not calcium blocker in terms of bone calcium deposits leading to osteoporosis.

Are you going to taper off it?

I might need to just come off Englandz. I'm not sure right now. I've just come off benzos, like I said, miraculously ( and I mean that!!) and thankfully, without a single symptom!

I quit smoking last week and need to get off Tramadol so might have to wait and see.

Talking of Tramadol. Its become a controlled drug... they've finally accepted/admitted that it is like synthetic heroin basically ( its an opioid). They dished it out like smarties for several years. I'll get off it one way or another but bloody hell!! What about old, frail people? They've made them junkies. They've made a lot of us junkies.

I wonder if somebody has started a class action lawsuit or something regarding it.

To be fair I did kinda bring it on myself though. I did a bit of research on it when I was first dabbling because it was obvious it was psychoactive and that's what I was looking for at the time eg some kind of chemical cosh for those afore mentioned demons. I knew it was an 'opioid'.

is that the 'Royal' we...I've heard it doesn't smell :D

By "we" I mean other people, not me. :p

And I'm not imagining this; I have seen this creeping in and it can be kinda confusing.

Us regulars may or may not know what everyone's talking about by the context and the familiarity we have with each other's issues, but seriously now, talking about "meth" when you mean methadone is not the correct thing to do in an HR place like what this is. This is why terms like "yoyo" and so on are not allowed in the Other Drugs subforum. Clarity is all. :)

*jumps off high horse* :p
