Gibberings CLXXXVII - Feeling Funky (monkey)

Extremely dizzy and brain fog sounds like you may have been taking too high a dose. For me, less is more with that stuff

Wouldn't mind trying some myself from what I've read about how good they are for withdrawals off opis...

I keep alternating between meth and gear. Basically I don't want to spend money on gear as it pisses me right off and I can get meth for nothing.. but I don't want a meth habit, so I use meth through the week till Thursday then jump back on the gear til Sunday... The weekends are fine, obviously. The week I'm always withdrawing adjusting to the meth.

To compensate for that I use mxe at low doses to perk me up, which does work but isn't ideal by a long way... That's me until rehab I think though.. :\

I'm prescribed 300mg twice a day but also have 200mg caps aswell if I want to lower it. After several days continuous the side effects lessen a bit but if you miss a day or two then go back the side effects seem to come back....also with the exception of horrible things like MAOIs and the like I've never seen a patient information leaflet with as many reported side effects on.....honestly it's like a fucking phone book!! Like I say YMMV but for me it's just an awful medicine.....helps the neuropathic element of my back pain a bit and is OK for the WDs when I stopped my opiate painkillers but I just find it a very strange drug indeed.

If you look into what is known about its exact mechanism of action, it would seem the scientists find it a strange drug too :)

I got visual distortion from high dose pregabalin. Colors got brighter, more saturated, and everythings seemed crisper. Seems like this is a pretty common side effect. The memory issues were unsettling too at those doses... And yeah, always felt woozy, lots of stumbling.

high doses of pregabalin give me a weird kind of focused drive and almost teeth clenching, i dont find it particularly intoxicating but it does relax me a bit. 'takes the edge off' the generalised anxiety i tend to have. After a while though it just feels like Im onloy taking it for the sake of it and not actually gettinga ny noticable benefit except the avoidance of withdrawal symptoms (which are horrible if you stop suddenly).

all in all it has served me well in helping me get off stims, booze and benzos, with almost no negative aspects.

baclofen though, is where im hoping to go next.

I've noticed a tendency recently of people using "meth" to mean either methadone OR methamphetamine.

We need to tighten up our nomenclature and say what we mean. It gets confusing. Or worse.

I can never understand why people like pregabalin..... I ended up taking about 250 of the 300mg capsules back to the chemist because I couldn't stand them....made me feel sick to my stomach, extremely dizzy and just feel plain stupid....like a horrible brain fog.... Each to their own, YMMV, FWIW, etc. etc. etc....

I found the same with Gabapentin so declined Pregabalin as I suspected it would have a similar effect, my vision was so distorted and I felt so disorientated I was unable to drive and barely able to operate a computer, 'orrible ...although other's MMV

is that the 'Royal' we...I've heard it doesn't smell :D

Pregablin did my teeth in. I've been on it for about 4 years on and off. I've had two taken out and loads of fillings. I think its because its a calcium blocker. 40s isn't a good time for a woman to have calcium issues... So in spite of the fact its helped me through a few stressful times (sometimes that pregablin brain fog is preferable to facing reality) I've decided to come off it. I think I've faced down many of the demons in my life now thank God.. So it might be time.

And yeah it is notorious for making you a bit thick.

Not really that confusing tbh - if the term 'meth' is used in a heroin or opiate withdrawal discussion then it's fair to assume that it means 'methadone'. But if used in a thread about stimulants then it obviously refers to 'methamphetamine'. However, it can get confusing when people say 'meth' when they mean 'meph'.

ahh meth / methadone that makes more sense.

Stupidly the other week I ordered some gbl from a scam site. Yeah stupid me, I know...

Obviously it's all above board, It's fine to import it so long as you don't consume it. So I haven't done anything wrong? In this thinking is it worth chasing down £88 - is it even possible? They do have all my personal details as I signed up on website.

In fact I just got a text from the scammer, a few. Basically in my last email to their support after ignoring me for over a week I said I was going to d everything I could to get my cash back and expose this website or whatever.

My mind is saying leave it be... I think the fact the payment went through a 3rd party that handled my debit card makes me think its more likely getting some result.

I guess I don't know who they are, where they are how many they are and they know all about me. I sort of what to do something as a matter of principal.

But I was foolish. Texter (german mob number) sent me a little love message I'm guessing uniquely as I threatened to do anything I could to 'win' in last email.

Tried to scare me a bit saying 'glenn, we know about the packages' I guessed who it was then he said he was enjoying spending all my money.

Wasn't aggressive discourse, 2 or 3 texts and ended with me saying 'yeah i'm a fool to be scammed, 88quid isn't much, have a nice life'

So thats it currently. Do I d nothing, safest, easiest option. Or do I do something or try to do something?

Guy might be on here too - so could be reading this. What would you do? TL;DR

Pleased it's not just me who finds it like that NE.... It makes me nauseous too.
It's also notorious for making people gain weight as it's seems to increase appetite.

While I haven't looked deeply into it, by calcium blocker I'm sure that means calcium channel blocker at the cellular level not calcium blocker in terms of bone calcium deposits leading to osteoporosis.

Are you going to taper off it?

A bit random but has anyone here used Piracetam and found them very beneficial decent results etc? i've had a tub of them sat around here for years, taken a few here and there but not properly tried using them

Why good evening :)

Many years ago I took an 'attack dose' with LSD, a friend had obtained the stuff from some foreign supplier in the early 90s when such things were being called 'smart drugs'. I'm not sure how much the dose was as it was long ago and whilst we both thought it was splendid at the time we had both taken a rather large dose of LSD which just may have effected our judgement ;)
