Not to bad thanks 5star having a little break from drugs at the minute before the Damn things kill me feel a shed load better for not polluting my body with mpa or noids at the minute even though I have ordered some more mxe in the hope it will help keep my mood from swinging like it does and get that reset thing it can do

Elijah was essentially a murderer, don't you think? Why was he so keen to kill the 'false' prophets upon the failure of their god to set a cow on fire when he was so sure of the primacy of Yahweh to begin with? Couldn't he settle for embarrassing them and converting their followers?

Lolita sure is a pretty name, but one which is more than a little troublesome. It was a pet name for a very old girlfriend of mine who can still get on the bus for concessionary fare to this day.

I share a place with a Russian called Kristina, which was also my ex-girlfriend's middle name (via her Faroese ancestry). So it's not a Russian name as such. My ex's first name is still one of my favourites, actually, but again it isn't Russian although it's common over there.

I've loved the Polish name Zoshka ever since I read The Man With The Golden Arm, and the way it's contracted to 'Zosh' throughout the novel too.

Unfortunately, Zosh is a complicated character, to say the least. So I won't be whispering 'Zoshka' in anybody's ear, unless that's her name of course.

Haha, I don't care much for Razorlight, but I think some of my old friends had songs written about them too. ;)
 
It deviates from the novel quite a lot, but it is Ol' Blue Eyes after all!

The novel is amongst my favourites. Algren's Chicago is forever burned in my mind.
 
I don't quite understand the killing ( you suggest murdering) in the OT in all honesty Sam there are a zillion questions about the bible I would like to ask Him face to face. The baal worship, and false prophesying were associated with your Jez (who totally hen pecked Ahab, the King, by the way).

I don't think there are any examples of deliverance from Evil spirits in the OT before Christ. So I guess cleansing from what has come to be known as a 'Jezebel spirit wasn't going to happen at that particular period of time. So he just humiliated them then rubbed them all out...

Like I said there are things I can't fathom in the bible right now.

I admire him when all is said and done because it was like him against this vast vicious body of wicked,murderous witchy, false prophets and hen pecking wives and he went from utterly knackered and wasted to ultimately legendary victory and restoration of honouring of God.

He increased his faith in Cherith ( by memory a baal region in samaria..don't quote me on it this is a sketchy account of my understanding of that period of Kings ..Fed by ravens at his lowest point ( wonder what that means??) He grew stronger through famined times and learnt dependence on God alone... Then went back to Israel faced the spirit that had polluted those prophets of God...wiped them out.. Went up to heaven in a chariot of fire.

Sam..check out yahoo answers on the meaning of Jezebel... its a pretty random, representative sample. At a glance they appear to concur that the name means 'prostitute', 'witch', 'manipulative woman'. Rest my case.There are supportive sites for jez... although I can't see how they can be biblical... Kings pretty much paints her as an evil kinda lass. But you seem to dig that sort of bird don't you?

Thank you Sadie hun it's just one of them days payday and not scoring is a bitch so wanted 10 grams of mpa or eph but I've been good and got any anyways time for bad got a delivery coming between 7am and 12PM so night all and once again thanks Sadie
