Gibberings CLXXXIV - I settled for HRing on EADD

I said HOLIDAY Felix not my last shift. I actually like my job. Tis easy and usually a hell of a lot of fun!! No thievery!! That would make for a bad Sadie! I am quite looking forward to some time off. Last time I took any time off was the year before last when I broke my foot. Oddly enough walking the dog! I am a calamity!!!!
 
Black coffee, no sugar = he's cheating?

If a man suddenly starts drinking black coffee without sugar, is that a sign that he has been having an affair?

He's just woken up in someone else's home, and doesn't know where to find anything in the kitchen. She is still sleeping so peacefully, like one of those old-fashioned dolls with a porcelain head on a rag body; it would be a shame {if not a liability} to wake her. Black coffee without sugar is simply the easiest thing to prepare, under the circumstances. If he simply searches every air-tight container, starting from nearest the kettle, then -- barring exceptional ill fortune -- one of them will surely contain at least a few granules of instant coffee .....

Thoughts?
 
What -- you mean you already drink unsugared black coffee because you intend on waking one morning in the home of an illicit lover and being confronted with an unfamiliar kitchen with restricted refreshment availability, so you are preparing in advance and making sure not to give away any clues when it happens? Does Queenme know?

Just remember, if she'll cheat with you, she'll cheat on you .....

Just going back a few posts to meth. While it is indeed a substance not to be taken lightly, I wonder how much of the negative publicly surrounding it isn't due to factors OTHER than the inherent dangers of the chemical itself (after all Desoxyn is used in the states medically for the treatment of treating ADHD and even exogenous obesity).

I wonder if the sometimes destructive effects meth tends to have on it's users isn't more to do with it's relatively cheap price and ease of availability (I'm referring to the States here) combined with it's ability to be smoked which is generally regarded as facilitating far more destructive patterns of use than oral or insufflated drugs.

Maybe it's these factors rather than the drug itself that give meth such a bad reputation. I mean if powdered coke was readily available at 95%+ purity, at a relatively cheap price and could be manufactured with relative ease without necessitating any organic matter i.e. the coca leaf or opium poppy who's primary source is non-domestic (as meth is in the US) then perhaps cocaine would be see as being far, far more destructive drug than it is currently perceived as being. Perhaps the "limiting factor" with other stimulants is either their prohibitive cost, difficulty in procuring, impracticality of more "destructive" ROAs etc.

The point I'm getting at is that the terrible publicity surrounding meth (some of it warranted, some of it not) is down to a host of factors other than the actual effects of the drug itself. There are a number of complex and interwoven issues to consider,

I personally find the subject of methamphetamine fascinating for so many reasons i.e the effect it has had on such vast swathes of the US, the fact that it can be domestically produced in the absence traditional plant matter precursors (as with cannabis, cocaine, heroin etc), the fact that is is an epidemic in some parts of the world and largely unheard of in others etc etc. It truly is a fascinating subject
 
People would probably end up looking similar if they were flat out on any drug for a few years. Have a look at someone that has been solidly on the piss for 5 years, every waking hour and they will look pretty fucking rough as well.

Yeah that's kind of what I mean.

The horror stories, those horrendous before and after meth pictures basically (to me anyway) just show someone who's been fucked up on stimulants for a long period of time. Not necessarily anything specific to methamphetamine itself.

More of a freak coalescing of the factors I mentioned above.

We don't have a lot of raw data to go on in this country though as there isn't really the volume of cases of disastrous meth addiction in the UK for drug and alcohol services to draw on.

I've been called to many, many cases of drug related problems but don't think I've ever been called to someone who's felt the need to call an ambulance due to meth. Although that's obviously due to it's limited availability here in the UK.

I remember posting this on another thread a while back but I've never been able to work out exactly why meth has never taken off in the UK in the illicit stimulant market the way it has in the USA, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa etc. etc. There are many suggested reasons for this such as cocaine being so popular, people used to cheap low purity amphetamine sulphate therefore finding pure crystal meth "too strong" for their tastes but I've never found any of these reasons entirely convincing personally
 
My foot hurts I've stubbed by toe and bent a bit at the side. His idea to was to absail up
a small lift shaft to get up and explore the attic space all on mxe... Well my foot fucking hurts now and I can't sleep for it and he's snoring and I'm grumpy :- b

Someone make me tea and give me opioids please.
 
If that happened to my woman, I'd be giving her poor foot lots of attention.

you have to see or experience meth to know how really fucked up it is.
It changes a person. completely. No one seems to get this


my buddy would always do meth to the point where you would get meth psychosis, or hallucinations which was normal for him and did not bother him too much at all.
then when it happened,(OD) he came into the lounge and said to us 'something is not right' - that was the last thing he said that night arrrr

When we finally got him to hospital - he was still trying to breath. you know, fast, short breaths - barley getting any air into lungs when breathing. Really fucked up to see him like that.


moderate use, eh, can't be fucked with the depression from it. Not worth it at all

^ that does sound lush, I assume some drugs will be taken during this period of lushness? :)

Morning all,

Today is my last day at my parents house before I move back in my flat fulltime... been a while getting here but I will be very glad to have some independence & be able to follow my own routine again... not having to wait for meals will be the best part, or perhaps my PS4. :D
