I was paraphrasing as i haven't seen it in years but it's close enough...

Cant say i remember the particular model, no.. i do remember dvd coming out though. I domt think my parents had one until the recordable ones came out.. it was a Philips amd cost about £500.. waste of £...
 
never had a dvd player. not a standalone one

i can see through these gimmicks quite well... imo its the memory sticks that are going to stick around for a while for playing content off. that or the cloud things... :P
 
I think arguments over the air-con may have been a deciding factor in leaving my last job, actually. :D

And never had a DVD player? Wow.. I feel old. I presume you've never had a VHS player either? ;)

These things do grind you down, trivial as they may seem.

I haven't spoken to the guy in question other than when I've absolutely had to, because he refuses to talk to me. We had a disagreement, during which he became abusive, so I told in him in no uncertain terms that he was not going to talk to me like that again. No veiled threats or owt, just me standing my ground, politely but firmly, and making him look like an aggressive dick in the process. He won't even say hello now.

The guy's in his mid-forties too. Tragic.

haha, nah, we did use to have a vhs player for sure
but the whole dvd thing skipped our household. mainly due to me being technical enough to see the pointelessness of it all
 
where is everyone?

got invited to go out with some friends but not really into the venue and event they have planned.... i feel strangely alienated from the modern audiences tastes... :P

it aint exactly bad but it can be really tiring .... and the venue is ALL loud.
i know i sound like grandpa for saying it, but i dont want my guts vibrating all night. id like to be able to chat with others without losing my voice entirely.

Nah, I hear you (pun intended).

It's great to have loud music on hand, but it's lovely to have some kind of respite. Otherwise it's an endurance event.
 
yeah and if you want to escape for a bit your only option is the bathroom/toilet - and we know how those get after 2am, or going outside. where its either raining or freaking cold, neither of which go well on a sweaty tripper
 
Knocked into a friends apt for a chat ended up having my 2nd and final limit slated €20 bag of powerful heroin followed by a dinner of burger beans and mash. The cigarette after all that and the 3 of us nodded out for half an hour lol
so chilled now beyond immaculate B-) pure bliss
hope y'all are having a good friday. Anyone else taking drugs tonight?

Yeah, I'm on drugs tonight. I have a soon-to-be-replenished bit of weed, a bottle of Tullamore and a gram of above-average heroin. Also have benzos and promethazine on standby.

Get me. Rock and fuckin' roll, I suppose.

will do have reached my tic/credit limit nowt more till nxt wed and yeah i have swallowed xanax and have zopiclone on standby but dont want to go asleep and miss the lush gouch :-)
