The poor Amazon... honestly I bet soon we will be building houses where the tree's have been logged, what a waste of a planet... owell.. we can just move to mars

Just found out I get charged for every text I receive as well as send on this pay-as-you-go sim. So, your 100+ messages I received today have completely used up all my credit for the month. Not being rude if I haven't responded.
 
What network are you with? Pretty much all networks offer you a deal like pay £x from your topup for x amount of free texts / minutes / a mix..

A lot of them also offer x amount of free texts when you top up by a certain amount.

Never heard of anyone being text for receiving? Have you got the verification thing on (where you get a text to say your text was received)?
 
Orange used to charge 2p for a confirmation. We only found this out *after* putting a bunch of Orange SIM cards in the GSM gateway (which relied on the confirmation to know it had sent the text ..... and I wasn't quite ready to hack the Source Code of chan_extra. So we switched to O2, except they seem not to understand that "unlimited" does not mean "limited".

Mind, once you see the price of wholesale telecommunications, you'll realise the extent to which we're all being ripped off.

While this is true, it's still nothing compared to pre-mobile days when BT had absolute monopoly. The main difference between then and now is that then we all got £500 bills for hardly using the phone whereas now, with the privatization of conversation, we can all have £500 annual bills by being encouraged to talk and text as we please.
 
Work, work, work. Can't wait for saturday. On the bright side: I finally rebooked my ticket, meaning that my 3 week trip to Korea has now become a 3 month journey through Asia :)

Fucking excellent games. Except Project 8. That was gash. Downloaded the HD mashup of the first three games off PSN and missus just found my old copy of the second game, hope it works, used to spend hours on it and had the best levels/soundtrack imo.

Morning all, btw. Got an early start, hangover be damned. Feels goooood and I'll be back in bed by noon.

edit @ Julie: I found that 2p confirmation on Orange thing out the hard way. That and a fuck up where they were charging me for two contracts when I only had one that took eight months to resolve made me decide to switch to a capped contract on Tesco pretty fucking quick.
 
fucking hell, hate when vendors offer next day delivery and then take several days. They don't take into account that some people time the deliveries so that suspicious housemates/ family members don't see strange packages coming through your letterbox. Seriously, gave myself a pretty good margin with this order and I'm still playing cat and mouse hoping my bloody parents leave before the postie arrives D : it could all be timed fine or it could end up terribly, I hate the gamble.:sus:

Tesco mobile is pure cheapness and good coverage because they piggy back on the O2 network.
