That picture reminds me of when I broke both bones in my arm when I was 12... had the thing hanging down at a 90 degree angle. :D

I ended up with 26 stiches in total & had 2 plates in my arm for 6 months. I've now got a rather nice surgical scar conveniently 'down the tracks' on my wrist:

Yup I remember the itching... plenty of that what with the 2 big scars & 2 operations! I can't really remember how long that lasted anymore... worst part was trying not to pick at the scabs. A bit more of a challenge when you are 12 probably! ;)

The whole thing is such as big part of my life right now its hard not to go on about it a bit but such conversations alwasy remind me of that scene in Jaws=D .......and I don't even have an appendix scare

It's raining here and I already felt like shit today. Off to the dentist in a bit, then have to attend some meeting tonight I really am not looking forward to. I'll be glad when this day is over :(

I've got a few more hours of tying up loose ends around the office and then it's home to some fine, fine heroin. Off work tomorrow too. Can't complain!
 
I would happily swap for dentist and a meeting right now. ;)

It would be just my style to end up an RIP thread from doing something wholesome like sailing. (But it's not *quite* that bad yet. Hopefully.)

Well good day to you Ms Evey, EADD moves to fast for me these days, but I still <3 the place and many of it's residents.

I had another Op on my leg 17th May, they pulled all the metal work out so the bone can kinda heal before they break it and put it straight so I've been working from home.

I guess I should post a horrid pic of my leg post op tis EADD afterall :-

Alls good, had a bit of a turn and had to go on Gabapentin, I treated myself and brought my own wheelchair as I have another bigger op planned in October, I'm getting pretty nifty with it if I do say so myself :D

Your right it did look just like a zip !, they took the staples out the other week now I've just got little red dots down each side of the incision. They did itch the last week before they came out but I have a high tolerance to thw=e itch/scratch thing as I've had a skin condition for 20 odd years.

Last time they stitched is and it didnt look half as interesting, this surgeon just prefers staples, so the nurse told me

There was also a hole on the other side from the keyhole they did on the actual knee, for once the key hole wound was tiny, every other time the've said they would use key hole the wounds just looked like the'd cut the thing wide o0pen and had a poke about in there:sus:

I've had multiple surgeries including removal of my upper third molars and a partial jaw reconstruction+2 dental implants when I was a few years younger, so a regular check-up like the one I had today feels like a walk in the park really :)

Called in sick for the meeting, got myself a shitload of sushi and am curled up on the couch watching footy. Day's suddenly so much better :)
