In my day you were lucky if you got a commodore 64 as an upgrade from your speak and spell, with one game which I think mine was hunchback of notre dame 2....sighs, adjusts tener lady in the gusset of surgical stockings..auld lady signing off...

Time to read 'the people's friend' mag, stuff me pipe and 'av an 'orlicks.

Ive been better, it could be worse :\ Had some reassuring words from my family last night which I wasnt expecting tbh so thats given me a much needed boost as id gotten into the "fuck it, whats the point" frame of mind..

Your post sounds a bit ominous DITP, hope you are OK. All the best to you. Mass exodus on this place atm. :\ But there has been a bit of an influx of new members too.

Also ive mainly worked where theres been music playing, worked in the steel stockholders for 5 years... radio on all day, mostly shite music but it adds atmosphere n motivation... then left for 3 months and worked somewhere else where it was quiet... the quiet-ness was odd. then the steel place wanted me back so went back

Yeah I did some painting & decorating for a while as an interim job. Listened to music & could take 5 minutes here & there no bother. Usually had a break mid-morning, lunch & mid-afternoon... keeps you focused for sure.

Quite enjoyed doing that after 4 years at the books.

It's stealing. When you are PAID to work and you are not working you are stealing and should be sacked n someone else given the chance. If you were meant to have those breaks the employer so grant them so THERE!
