The riff to sweet child o mine was originally devised when they were writing and Slash played the riff as a joke suggestion because it's so silly and easy and the rest of the band jumped on it and it turned in to their biggest hit.

Actually cba going to this BBQ, not hungry at all due to coke comedown and bed is looking so tempting. I find it hard not eating when everyone else is as well, I mean when you're skinny there isn't really a good excuse, not like I can say I'm on a diet lol so I don't know, I always think it looks a bit sus. Might just go along in the evening for the partying bit :P
 
That's right. I find that GnR songs are much more fun to play on guitar than they are to listen to. I recently went through a phase of learning some of their hits. I can now play Sweet Child, Mr Brownstone, Welcome to the Jungle and Nightrain!

One good thing about learning GnR, as opposed to my usual more obscure stuff, is the ease of acquiring good quality backing tracks. :)

Haha, fair enough. I almost went to uni in Glasgow, glad I stayed down here though, it would be a right pain in the ass getting back home from Scotland every holiday :P I think it's true with the UK in general that no rain = banging weather, we do only seem to have one season most of the time 8)

It is looking quite bright outside now, maybe the sun will emerge soon?! I like the sun, it gives me an excuse to wear sunglasses. Sunglasses are every stim users friend ;)

Just got to register the fact that my favourite track on appetite is my michelle. First album I bought and it's pretty much perfect from start to finish (I would still like sweet child of mine if it wasn't for the fact it's been soooo overplayed).
