:) When I was growing up and getting in to free parties I wished so badly I had been born 15 years ealier so I could have been part of it all but no doubt if I had been I'd be even more fucked up than I am now.

Nah, you'd just have been a bit more like me. Perish the thought eh? ;)

I don't know what you're like but I'm pretty sure if I was around when it was all kicking off I would have run away and started travelling and be either a totally burnt out old junky ex raver with no prospects (like, even more than I am now) or dead by now.=D

Love those rolling hills. Need to get my mountain bike in the car and do some exploring of my own local hill/mountains.

You're always welcome to explore mine Ceres. Though that free party on Betws was nice, we have much better too. In fact those hills are kinda the Aldi of hills around here. But it was a great party.

Anywhere near merther tydfil is by definition shit by association.

I'm geusing that's probably where you're from as it's the biggest town in the area so sorry.=D

I'm from England. I live in a seriously beautiful place "near" Ammanford. The valleys are shite. I don't live in the valleys.

The valleys are shite. I don't live in the valleys.

Completely depends on which valley really. Agreed on those South Wales valleys but the one I'm in ain't too bad. Or at least could be a lot worse. Next one along is permanently enshrouded in cloud and drizzle. This one is a bit of a sun trap. As far as such a thing is possible in Wales obviously.

FFS Shambles, you live in one of the most beautiful valleys in Wales. At least the approach from the north-east to your town is.

But that's not what is called the valleys. Stop being pedantic/difficult. Merthyr is the valleys, as Owen knows. And Merthyr (etc) is shite.

I can't help my pedantry. Wouldn't want to either cos quite like it even if it is annoying. Don't see why those shitey South Wales valley get to be called The Valleys and the nice ones up here don't get to be anything cos you can't call them valleys cos people think you mean bloody Merthyr Tydfyl. Wouldn't want to live in the next one over though - it really does have the crappiest climate for miles around. Funny things are valleys. Microclimates and all that. Very noticeable so they are.

Righty, am off to stroll down the valley which ain't anywhere near Merthyr (thankfully). Shopping in the sunshine. Looks gorgeous out but my flat does not warm up until mid-summer at best so have been chilly all day. Time to go do my lizard bit and stock up for the night.

The valleys in South Wales are known locally as "THE valleys", the city dwellers in Cardiff are scared of the rough people from 'the valleys' nearby as they are quite a wild lot. Ofcourse Wales has other valleys too, but they are not THE valleys. The approach from the S.E. (iir my bearings correctly) to the vale of Shambles is beatiful too, i had to take the bus along that route for 7 years of highschool, and then again in the evenings for nights out, when we ventured from our tiny village to the metropolis. Couldnt really have asked for a more pleasant journey. Got a bit annoying during the tourist season being trapped in 20 car convoys behind bloody caravans though. Most of the locals who knew the roads like the back of their hands drove at 70mph+ all the time, there were never any speed cameras or coppers doing speed traps along that route when i lived there.

Have you seen the valleys where live? I live by the longer n highest aquduct in the world so nerrr lol haha

Evey

Nice one, I know that. Better in pics than in reality though I find.

I also live in a valley (and from Montoya Mansions, it's practically uphill to the river) but not in Wales. It's the valley where the most important event in the whole of human history began. And I think that's pretty cool.

You're big on bold statements I'll give you that.

Is this somewhere near Birmingham perchance? Do tell all. "Whole of human history"? Would Ecuadorians agree with you?
