they won't feel affects of DHC with H withdrawal????

Will I ever feel codeine again? If not, I'll do a party because it means there's no point in taken it ever again.....

Evey

You'll feel it just fine... once the bupe is well clear of your system. Bupe is a strong opioid - stronger than heroin weight for weight. Heroin is also a strong opiate - not as strong as bupe but makes codeine and DHC look ridiculously weak in comparison. Morphine lies somewhere inbetween. Assorted other opiates and opioids scatter hither and yon. You skipped most of the opies most people would be familiar with by the time they get a bupe script. Don't presume that codeine or DHC are in any way representative. They really are "weak" opies in comparison. That's not to say they are "weak" drugs but the opi ladder is a vertiginous one and it goes very high indeed. Fentanyl? Pharaohfentanyl? Any fent analogues? Bupe and heroin are but blips on the scale. Opioids can be potent like you wouldn't believe. Bupe is about midway - a little above the heroins of this world but compared with some of the synthetics a long way down the list. You went very high very fast compared to most and do bear that in mind cos you skipped several rungs and there are many, many still above you. Tread careful as you descend the ladder. That's what Owen is doing.

sooo cold shiverring under a duvet and three blankets..funny how shit creeps up on you..5 days drug free and I feel weird..hmmm orange you say Dan..<3

Dunno, maybe its transformed itself into cheese, biggest orangey looking moon i've seen for awhile

There are all sorts of drug snobs and just general snobs, don't let the fucker grind you down :)

I've got at least another 6-9 months where I'm going to have to take even larger amounts of pain medication and I bet they don't give a second thought to how I get off of them.

I'm under the knife Saturday, I'm banking on the IV morphine on demand green button ...you have to see the bright side

poor girlie <3 hopefully you'll feel back to normal soon, hate that reboundy weird feeling, its like being too sober or something, tis odd

Owen - please be careful with DHC.

You only have to experience that warm, fuzzy feeling and you may be triggered - especially during withdrawal symptoms.
You've come so far, haven't you? Can I ask why you turned the detox down? Of course 'tis your choice - they'd have made you comfortable.

Anyway we're all here for you to give you support, even though you're arrogant at times, you're a decent person deep down and I wish you all the very best with your recovery.

Evey

Evey until you stop insulting me I'm not going to engage in conversation with you.

You seem to be unable to hear someone talk politely and frankly and have an opinion that isn't the same as yours without responding with accusations of arrogance, judgement and pretention (which frankly I find rude and insultiung), often followed by the ignore button and then an apology the morning after. Until such a time as this changes I think it's best we just don't engage in conversation because nothing good is going to come of it for either of us. I've tried to phrase thise as politely as possible, forgive me if it's not quite up to standard.

Thankyou for your well wishes with my detox though.

I'm not trying to start an argument here; I don't understand being prescribed bupe for a codeine addiction.

That to me to like having an arm amputated because of a paper cut on your little finger...

Am I wrong?

Edit; NO FUCKING EMBEDS.

^ My thoughts exactly, i dont understand that... as far as i was aware bupe is to get off alot stronger opiates or something... seems a bit backwards... although i dunno the half lifes and whatnot

Ooooooowwwwwwww! I think I was where you are at now, just last week.

Try not to think about how slowly the clock is ticking ..... although I will totally understand, if you think I'm being facetious there.

Codeine is a pro-drug AFAIK so effectively the addiction is to morphine, ultimately it is an opiate and we don't know all the circumstances. as a bystander I see someone getting into serious life issues abusing codeine, they are now on Bupe and have gained control of that issue.
