Gibberings CLXIV - I don't Have a Clue if These Numerals are Right I'm Still Drunk

Not its NOT a good thing. Making us have charges but letting muslins not have charges is racism n out of order. I am
Appauled. I only hope that the information is wrong, it being a newspaper. From someone having to pay £65+ in overdraft fees I find it very wrong indeed.

Sammy read the article that maxalfie showed. Muslins don't have to pay overdraft fees at Lloyds bank but everyone else does.

Evey

I did read the article, Evey.

I suggest you examine the Islamic stance on moneylending and maybe you'll understand the reasoning behind it.

I'm not saying it's right that only Muslims are spared these charges (I'd prefer it if nobody were charged) but until now there were very few banking options for Muslims who wished to live by the teachings of their religion.

It's a cynical gesture on the part of Lloyds, but 'racism' it is not.

They do say you don't need to be a Muslim to have the account though so I don't know why they are advertising the fact it is an account that abides by muslim laws.

Somebody's mental idea of marketing.

I guess they got the publicity though, eh? ;)

Basically this. It's a religious thing allowing Muslims to comply more fully with their own religion if they wish/have to, which is admirable (and attention grabbing as far as Lloyds is concerned). If Christians had not done as Sammy said no doubt they would do the same (no they fucking wouldn't because I assume they'd lose shit loads of money making opportunities). I am now going to report my ex for being a bad Muslim because she lent me money AND went into her overdraft.

I'm sorry but I'm going to say - Bullshit on this Muslim 'banking' thing ! (as quoted or implied or my understanding of the intention of the posts).

We will agree to differ. I believe in equal opportunities.

I am a christian.

If charges should be dropped for muslims so should they for everyone in the country. I am shocked that none of you are outraged. I will never bank with Lloyds from now on. Because if it was the other way around then muslims would be playing 'ell.

Still nice to see people making jokes n happy :)

Then fees should be dropped for EVERYONE.

I'm sorry people we'll have to agree to differ on this. Personally I'm outraged. I've a few more view on the matter - but they're best kept to myself and Facebook in this respect. I believe in equality n saying to a certain race in another country that they do not have to have charges while the own citizens STILL DO is nothing but racist n offensive.

Anyhow off to see about getting my laptop fixed.

Love yas.

Then surely you agree that Muslims should be able to keep their religious principles when it comes to banking?

After all, no banks ask you to compromise your Christianity when you become a customer, do they?

Nobody's 'dropping charges for Muslims'.

Muslims cannot normally use the mainstream banking system and remain true to their religion. All that's happened is that Lloyds has realised this and has attempted to muscle in on an untapped market. The Islamic Pound, if you will.

If you look closely, you'll see that you can sign up for the account if you're not a Muslim. So where's the discrimination?

They'll still pay the same as you, they just don't call the charges interest

Spot on.

Muslim banking ? There is no such thing (if were going there).

If you have x amount in your account that you have not used - you pay this to charity ? (Pillars of Islam 101)

This is going back to old school teaching - if your (not you, not having a go) quoting Islam learn it first ?

Would like to say that raas n I have solved our differences n that it was a complete misunderstanding.

I know these things are normally kept to PMs but I open accused raas of doing something wrongly so now I'm clearing his name.

I had forgotten that I gave raas my number n when I was told this, I was shocked n thought people were making it up but raas show me proof through a print out so I know he couldn't have edited it.

raas has also admitted, that he did the strange acts, which appeared to look stalkish because he was trying to help me. He admits that he went about the wrong way but was trying to help n like I like helping others n sometimes get this wrong, I accept his reasoning.

Lesson learned: not to be so quick to think the worst of
People n it's not my job to go warning others about people to stop them getting hurt, sometimes it's better to keep things to PMs.
I've given raas a private apology so I'm giving him a public one here.

Evey

Hi Evey, they were really kind words, thank you.

Evey had given me her number (whilst drunk) and forgot. She then got a little freaked out when I texted it.

I would also like to thank another person, who mediated between us and made her aware of the misunderstanding (It must have been either Shambles, Snolly or Third Eye Squeegee, as you're the only 3 I spoke too) Whichever of you it was probably Snolly I would like to say thanks so much!

Also, Nicklazz thank you for your support but please don't think too harshly of Evey. She has had problems with stalkers and people harassing her in the past, so has been understandably sensitive about it.

ColtDan I'm pretty pissed off that you claimed I had stalked you, which is just a blatant lie and you took the opportunity to stir animosity towards me when I was trying to sort out the misunderstanding between us. No more appreciation threads for you, for a while anyway.

Pleased to hear that. Now you'll have to find yourself another reason to think raas is a bellend, just like the rest of us. ;)

lol, cunt. I stood up for you the other day when Ceres was dishing out hate on you. You'll never know this coz of the wastebasket neglection situation.<3

Raas - I don't think its a blatant lie (just my humble opinion). Regardless what we post online its simply for fun or in general conversation ? I certainly would not expect anyone to go through all my photos posted and make a montage etc. Flattery / stalkerish ?
