Hm.. could have had an eye examination? My pupils were like that after I'd had dilating drops before laser eye surgery. Or some sort of ketamine treatment for pain?

I just had some kind of muscle relaxant for my MRI scan which made me go half blind for about 20 minutes :(

AHHH FUCK I MISSED APRIL FOOLS DAY....

Was gonna announce I'd lost faith and had turned agnostic, got a heroin addiction... or make some other story up

fuck fuck fuck... it's 00:56 too late to do it now, must wait til next year.

fuck fuck what an opportunity missed

Anyone been watching the L.A Stories series with Louis Theroux?

I did and (perhaps largely for chemical reasons, perhaps not entirely) had me all teared up and sobby so it did. Prob'ly summat to do with seeing the pain cancer patients have to endure before dying... Didn't spot that doc's spangleyes though - lawdy you ain't kidding 8o

He did seem to have a bit of a "special relationship" with the poor fella with anal cancer though so perhaps it was but love? Combined with access-all-areas key to the meds anyway.

Nothing says I love you like 'you have weeks to live'.

I did well up a bit when the

heroin overdose guy woke up and walked. And when the other cancer guy died. But I imagine most people did.

Quite. Kinda saw it coming given they started off with that fella then kept up with the "not looking good, family clutching at non-existent straws" stuff whilst everybody else they featured was dying left right and centre. Emotionally manipulative in an unusually simplistic way for a Louis Theroux doc but can't blame 'em cos an event like that really must be the veritable one in a million (if that). Talk about timing it right - doc would've been a bit of a depressing washout if it weren't for the event you mention. Did have me welling up and welling over all over the place though I must admit :o

Well the family was clutching at straws; the prognosis was clearly awful. It would have been cheesy had it been anything but a documentary. Having said that, maybe a different patient would have made the final cut if it weren't for the remarkable recovery...Though I think even if he hadn't recovered he would still have been a poignant addition to the documentary, if only to remind me of the situation I could land up in through one careless overdose.

Was certainly more tearful than the dog one. Though had it been cats I might've shed a tear for catkind. I have loved no dogs in my life.

Yeah, the dog one did nothing for me either. Also not a dog man. Is ridiculous how many strays they have though. Don't recall us ever having to have such extensive clean-up operations over this side of the pond (aside from clearing up the shite that scabby owners won't deign to pick up themselves).

I presume they must've had other stories on stand-by cos nobody could've realistically expected that fella to pull through at all let alone make anything like as much of a recovery as he did (and in such a short time too 8o). Fella got ridiculously lucky. Did perhaps show up some of the differences between our beloved NHS and the more jack-the-costs-up-at-all-costs US system though. Over here he'd not have lasted the night and there's no way they'd put somebody on that level of intensive care for weeks given the prognosis he had. Is a strange thing the way modern medicine has come so far that there really is (almost) no fixed stage where death can be considered truly final and definite. Those "extended care" places looked horrific though. Glad we don't have those here. I know we all needs our 5-A-Day but veg farms on that scale don't seem right somehow. Can't imagine how hellish it must be to be stuck inside such a broken body and mind with no way of communicating the near-certain desire you have for them to just pull the plug and let you go.

Haha nice. go for it swampy

Might finish off my speed

Yeah a bit left... haven't been very heavy with it, just regular, benzo use is the only thing that im concerned with... no speed or benzos for 3 days and feeling fine, thought some mild rebound would have shown an appearance or something,

How long were you using benzos for consecutively beforehand? I always get sleep issues coming off a benzo binge.

I think I like the fish suggestion best, ta. There is a lake nearby.. or a sainsburys. And fuck the idea of work.

And step away from the midweek-speed, dan, pleeease.
