That's a fairly disgraceful post from yourself alasdair. I know who knock would rather have be a part of this thread, and it certainly isn't the person having a go at his grieving friend.

I have been on this site thirteen years without a ban. I got one point the day before yesterday because Ali Baba couldn't take a joke OR me getting the better of him in a PM exchange. Lo and behold he got the newest mod, RoganJosh, to do his dirty work and actually infract me. This will be in the same vein that he was nothing to do with knocks removal.

So yesterday Mr Cookie, one point for a failed director who couldn't take a joke about his (possibly) small penis.

Then today another point and a ban.

I don't give two shits for your autocracy. Just leave me to grieve a friend away from you heartless bastards.

Was a little perplexed until i read the rest of the sentence, thought you were on about the band at first.

Eh, i remember being on mushrooms on Christmas Day about 4 or 5 years ago, with the whole family waiting for my uncle to turn up for dnner, but he never showed, and had died peacefully in his sleep that afternoon.

Drugs with death don't make the experience any better that's for sure.

Afterwards is a different story, for me anyway. Wouldn't have made it through last year without their assistance.
 
Having finally caught up a bit, glad to see you in your rightful place in the here and now, SHM.

And on the drugs/death thing... I suspect I made the right choice in regards to those swirls I mentioned a-pondering to ya in PM passings, Mz Marmz.

foreigner is a girl, a very clever girl. and a great (super)mod. doesnt surprise me at all it was her <3



i can understand alasdair's cowardice, thats par for the course. roganjosh however, should be ashamed. personally, i would have resigned on thespot had i been asked to infract shm,all you had to do was log off - powercut, ennit. sorry pal, youre damaged goods from now on


hopefully shambles isnt considering resigning, if the rest of staff werent so shockingly bad - it may be feasible. we need someone with a bit of sense/decency in there



cant be fucked with the internet at the moment. a lot of real life shit to deal with, people who i am at least able to reach out and help. all those harbouring strong feelings i suggest sit on their hands for a bit communicate with the likeminded via pm and hold your counsel. disappearing one by one isnt going to help the cause at all

No "Company Line" or whatever, I just happen to think that's a bit much. He's only just in the job and whatever "other stuff" may or may not be involved... well... BL politics are BL politics and woe betide anyone who gets caught in the crossfire.

And me considering resigning? Ha! It took quite enough to get shot of me last time around and this time I'm more or less sober most of the time. I hope to fight the good fight as ever.

It's clear to all that Knock's sudden passing is affecting all here deeply - myself very much included. I really can't see beyond the basic loss of a friend into whatever the undertones may be for the moment. That is for another day. Today, I'm mostly just missing Michael.

I've very deliberately avoiding that myself for the moment cos am very much aware that I don't know large parts of the surrounding issues and concerns. I've been away from BL until last night and as such have nothing much to go on other than the dead friend bit. I missed the demodding and all that comes with it. I will catch up, of course, just not today.
 
What a day - My heart is with the EADD family this day.

(Can't really get my head around whats gone on in here the last few days though, left with a very uncomfortable feeling.)

It's just a fucking shame all in all. It's only just hit this morning now I'm sober. I debated taking time out but letting people let it all out here seems the best idea. Just ask that all of this is kept out of his RIP thread; I've moved any posts that are similar to the ones here from the RIP thread to this one. Gibberings is the place for this type of grieving and questioning but then you all seem to have got that.

Other than that, I have nothing else to say except I'm gonna miss the hell out of him :( He was a brilliant mind, even if his EPH posts sometimes took me longer to respond to than planning a damn essay I always enjoyed reading what he had to say <3

whoever said "shine on you crazy diamond" couldnt have been more apt. Knock wasnt crazy though, possibly eccentric in his own unique way, and was certainly a Diamond. A rare gem. EADD needed him, it seems such a shame that he didnt seem to have found his place in the larger 'real world'.

Thanks mate and same back atcha. While the admin douchebaggery cannot be held soley to blame i hate to say it but surely it must have been a factor. When your mental state is solid as a rock, things like this can be taken on the chin, however, if in that dark place things like the mod stuff that's come up can push someone over the edge. This whole thing is such a mess, mirroring the state that most of us are all in right now i'm sure. Obviously this is not the time for finger pointing and all that but when everything settles down I personally feel that we need to take a good look at what the fuck went wrong and how, precisely so we can help avoid such a tragedy from occurring again further down the road.

Bear in mind what Knock said in the thread he made for me about HR in EADD. He said that if someone has chosen to use drugs dangerously, harm themselves or end it all, there is really very little a forum can do about it.

... & please, let's try to leave it awhile before we make too much in the way of accusation or insinuation. I don't think it's the time or place.
