hello hun

Yeh you bugger <3 never replied to my PM but all is forgiven. Come post some music in my Disco thread? I think I was the only one in that kind of feel good mood that wanted to hustle, bump and bustop badly around my bedroom tonight..apart from a few very worthy contributions it is currently epic thread fail.

Having said that...he is alive and loves his drugs more than anyone

New selection criteria right there.

What I thought was flu turned out to be dehydration, I may or may not have mentioned. Only ever managed that once before in my mid teens. Stupid. Need to look after myself better and am attempting to turn drinking into a social thing only because it's becoming a problem again now I've got money and I'm a bit depressed. Felt so stupid after whining about flu and then taking two etiz, having a couple pints of water, and some 'DIY re-hydration' drinks so as not to go the way of Leah Betts et al and feeling mildly better. Still pissing several shades darker than I'd like but feel good enough to actually get out of bed and do some cleaning.

Hope we all good anyway. I've decided I'm going to save what would be booze money to go snowboarding, after watching the women's snowboarding this morning and deciding I could do that, albeit at a very very amateur level. I also debated surfing as uni has a surfing society and Hull is apparently 'up and coming' on the UK surfing scene but, again, this is the same place that lists the bridge as one of the places to visit on its official tourist site. Also I'm terrified of the sea.

Edit: Has that MAPS logo in the top left been there long? It looks good. Also ty to FG and Brimz for the tunes above.

Had to say goodbye to mrcientist last night and we might not get to see each other again til I get back from Sydney in five months. I knew it'd be awful but I never could've anticipated just how shit that would feel. In two days I'll be on a plane to Aussie and the prospect couldn't be more depressing right now :(

Aw man that sucks :( You got a good opportunity though and hopefully in between keeping yoursen busy in Aus and keeping in touch with him, time will fly. Keep ya chin up <3

but you're a good person Pagey and you will have a good time, there's all this Skype and internet business and themail too. You can keep up the special bond. 5 months is nothing in a lifetime, nothing.

The sun is shining, it's beautiful and I'm thinking this time 3 years ago I began to turn the corner after being in a very dark place. I just can't believe how long it has taken me to straighten elements of my life out again and I'm just talking about mundane stuff. Housework and shopping and paying bills and working. When the old head goes the old head goes. Losing your marbles and finding bigger better more brightly coloured ones. (feel free to add the necessary commas. ;)

Mornin', all :)

Nearly.

Laaaarvely sunny day out. Shame I didn't do me washing yesterday really. Gets a bit steamy drying stuff on radiators. Ah well, bonus sauna innit :D

Slept like a log last night. Best kip in aaaaaaaaaages and woke up all full of afterglow snoo. Comedowns? Pfft. Afterglow ftw <3

Shambles can the do the HR bit, but its a case of do as i say....not as i do.

Having said that...he is alive and loves his drugs more than anyone so there must be some good practices in there.

Traditionally that has always been the case as I've always made abundantly clear. However, it's no longer the case. I've been a good lil boy this last few months. Yeah, surprised me too 8o

didn't know FG had gone anymore... right I've just fallen asleep at my desk I'll have to keep this laptop on until these errors are sorted, god knows what my electric bill will be n my daughter has a party tomorrow I'll have to leave this laptop on until the errors are fixed so I can send off my app for NMI yawn night everyone xxxx

I leave my pooter on 24/7 and it barely costs anything. My leccy bill is about a fiver a week and that covers everything including cooking and heating as well as pooter, monitor, TV/PS2 when I use it and so on.

This is why god made webcams ;)

I bet you move your lips when you read in your head.

St Ambrose was the first person ever observed to be able to read without moving his lips. Was quite the marvel of the age apparently.

When [Ambrose] read, his eyes scanned the page and his heart sought out the meaning, but his voice was silent and his tongue was still. Anyone could approach him freely and guests were not commonly announced, so that often, when we came to visit him, we found him reading like this in silence, for he never read aloud.

Ooh, by the way, there's an outdoor ski slope somewhere in Yorkshire that looks quite fun.. I still have my fingers crossed for some snow this year so I can check it out.

I've been writing all morning, a short story, very autobiographical, matter of 97% autobiographical, with just some changed details and name.

Let's say I'm feeling optimistic and want to have it published :)

Where do I send it? Vice, The Guardian, traditional printing houses?

Nice one, I had no idea about that. I know there was one in Sheffield but that burnt down and that there's an indoor one near Leeds. I've never really been properly, I went to a dry slope on an activity day with secondary school and they bigged it up for ages but turned out it was a barn on Catterick Garrison with a 'U' shaped slope, tiles that were peeling away and I basically had two goes at skiing, decided my legs are retarded, and spent the rest of the day sledging.

Edit: If you mean the Sheffield one I'm gonna be sad haha, tho I think that was dry slope too and hasn't reopened afaik.

This is the one I'm saving up to go to. They do surfing too and all sorts of cool stuff. Also if anyone grew up around York area and ever went to East Barnby for a week on a school 'outdoor adventure trip', their outdoor slope was hilarious. Must have been about 15m long with a fucking fence at the bottom.
