Now now Dan, what seems "fucking stupid" to you might seem very logical to others. At least Evey was trying to be helpful and not just posting the same youtube link on three different threads ;)

Don't like that idea at all. So we would have a drug talk gibberings & a non drug talk one so you'd have to keep swapping between the 2 threads if we want to mention drugs in a few of our posts.
Conversations would end up being split between the two threads and make no sense to folk reading them.
 
No drug talk, no swearing and maybe the board could shut between 11pm and 7am? And the theology thread should be compulsory.

Evaluating post frequency in tangent with the workload Mods have to undertake, isn't something that should ever even be considered. More mods can be taken on.

The busier this place is, the better, as long as there's some maintainance of quality in posting, and that's not THAT crucial, as long as people observe posting in the correct threads to not interfere with HR and drug information threads.

I think BL gives huge amounts of what I would class as personal and privacy freedom, much more so than FB. I'm not sure of the point of comparing other forums to FB, when we're discussing this particular forum.

As for no drug talk in gibberings. That's just silly. If people don't want 'triggering' discussion they could start a 'no drug talk thread'.

It'd be a pretty slow moving one though.
 
Or indeed the Drug Sabbatical Support & Appreciation Thread that Knock brought up. It seems to me to be basically what Evey was suggesting and it's been demonstrated that it works in the EADD context cos it's up to the third incarnation (albeit that it hasn't been on the front page for a while now). That's easily solved though - all it takes is a lil bumpity-bump :)

Wouldnt be so sure of that. Huge amounts i seriously doubt. This place is probably high priority for being monitored, after all its one of the biggest drug forums. it would make sense for it to be monitored. spying agencys, or whatever, blatantly would properly look into us easier than we realize. Facebook apparently logs everything but i dont give much of a shit
 
If it's in its third incarnation then there was obviously people using it but I guess like myself a lot of people generally only look at threads on the first page but as you said Shambles all it takes is a bump by somebody and then maybe it would be used again once it was back on the front page.
 
^ It's also right at the top of the EADD Index as Knock also mentioned but we all know how much attention people give to permanent stickies :D

(i think the index is a great idea, incidentally, just know from my modding days that stickies don't always get the attention they deserve - which is a shame cos they tend to have very useful info therein)

And - along with a number of other big interwebz companies like Google and Yahoo and plenty others - pass that collected info (and/or have actual built-in backdoors to their servers) to said spying agencies. There's no getting away from it - certainly not for the average netpleb like us - but at least BL doesn't actively choose to participate in such schemes. Not as far as I know anyway :sus:

I think its fair to assume plod watches over us, we're obvious participants in crime.

People on Facebook and users of google search engine, however, should get the benefit of the doubt in a civilised country and not be monitored by the NSA and GCHQ.

And yeah, I assume we're watched; I just make sure I don't do anything naughty enough to be of interest to onlookers.
