^ Annoying and really not doing me any good at all. Am not good at day in, day out sobriety but need to make more of an effort with it cos I certainly can't be drinking as much as I have been. I was doing really well with the booze for much of last year - was actually completely teetotal for a couple months I think
- but has slipped way too much. Was hoping to make more use of cannabbannabbaddabbanoids instead of booze but don't wanna take the piss with those either cos have had a few mental wobbles on those when I've been hitting 'em too hard, too frequently.
Balance is such a tricky thing sometimes
I'd take that down to CAB (or local equivalent) if it were I. Those kinda letters are deliberately phrased to scare the crap outta people and bully them into making immediate payments and agreeing to terms they really don't have to. Obviously you have to pay it back if you actually owe it but there is always a big difference between what the letter says and what the truth of the situation actually is (imo, ime, ymmv, etc, etc). At worst, you'll be no worse off by trying CAB, at best you'll get a much more reasonable repayment plan and maybe even get some of it written off - especially those OTT charges.
I got a similar(ish) shouty letter from some debt collecting agency for a late broadband payment. If I'd just phoned them to try to deal with it myself I'd've ended up several hundred quid out of pocket. As it happened, it was their mistake and they just wrote it off completely. Worth getting somebody to double check that it's all legit and there is no better offer on the table, I'd say. CAB are brilliant for stuff like that.

County Court Case letter,, vast is das? I cancelled my gym membership the other month as was not using it at all. Got a letter anyway stating that I owed some random company over £600 acting on there behalf as "outstanding balance", pretty sure I cancelled the direct debit. They are asking for another £125 for solicitor fees and then 8% interest from here on after unless I settle it TODAY? Fucking hell only got the letter today.
Have been ignoring my phone though mind, never answer it unless its a saved number. A gym membership though doing this??
