When can we delete the lounge? Should try it as an experiment for maybe 12 months or so, see where the posters go, some might start to talk more about drugs.

The Lounge has a no drug talk policy. But it's relaxed it slightly recently, but officially NDTITL

What i must be aware of in this particular case is that there are plenty of other folk like her Mother ( who isn't in great health) her partner who happens to be male this time , she went both ways . My favourite of her partners was Zoe n i really hope that i run in 2 her as it has been years n she is a real character . Would eat most blokes on here for Breakfast n finish the rest by lunch :D

My present female interest was very fond of Tamra n i will go with her as it means we can just pay our respects n be off . Hopefully grab a few phone no.s for friends that have not been around for a while or at least find there where abouts .

Then the high post count in the Archive will be because I archived thousands of threads just before Christmas in one-man effort to fix the server issues!

The quote is from the support forum, don't worry I've not broken the staff rules! Recently.

Are you forgetting the massive subforum 'other drugs' not to mention 'basic drug discussion', 'advanced drug discussion', 'cannabis discussion', ' psychedelics discussion' etc etc ?
 
In my opinion I think the Lounge is a waste. I went there n the people seem unfriendly so I don't go there now. When you compare EADD with American bit you're forgetting that most of the forums are American based / seem to have more Americans that people from other nationalities so really we can't really compare like that. However, it is good to know that a lot of people post in EADD. Also this subsection is friendly,n welcoming. When I come here I do not feel intimidating or like I'm going to get punished for doing the slightest thing wrong. I feel this section is kewl n non-judgemental n that's why I come here.

The Lounge is by nature, not drug or support focused. And there's tons of aussies who post there too, not just Americans.

I dunno how it was formed or when, but unlike EADD, where you can talk about anything drug related, or mental health related, you can't do that in the Lounge. They have to use the subforms for all their needs, including TDS. Everything posted in the Lounge by anyone is up for scrutiny and ridicule. It's essentially a place for trolling, as well as humour. But the humour bit is thin and far between imo, and you need to regress your brain to appreciate it

It's only ever annoyed me twice, to the point of feeling compelled to say something behind the scenes, and that's usually due to the unsuitable moderation of those situations really, and not so much the posters.

Where's our favourite kiwi ex-admin/BL historian (Infinite Jest) when you need him?!? The gist of it is that way back when BL was still pretty much a small ecstasy forum they decided they needed a place for off-topic chit-chat. Given the rest of the fledgling BL was drug talk it was decided there should be NDTITL to keep it separate - a place to get away from talking about drugs where people could get to know each other better. IJ would've explained that a lot better (and no doubt more accurately) and perhaps provided references and stuff (okay, maybe not the latter) but this will have to suffice in his absence. I'm afraid.
