Fookin' freezing. Think I'm allergic to everything in this house, back at my parent's for Xmas and my room is like dust city.

edit: that's more of an indictment against me rather than my parents; rest of the house is spotless.

And ha, I was panicking thinking that one of my assignments for the end of Jan had been announced in class and I'd missed it but just checked now and it's all up on our utterly confusing 'virtual learning environment'. And it's on 'A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man', which is awesome. Figured it wouldn't be cos we're not doing Joyce til next semester. Woop.

Ah nice snolly, I got to write an assignement on that last year - it's one of my favourite books, it was really fun to work on, I hope you enjoy it :)

Anyway, was hoping to catch an early night tonight cuz I've got a ridiculously busy day of seeing various doctors and buying presents and catching up with friends and picking coke up from my ex tomorrow (yay for the coke, ughhh for having to see the ex again), but I'm currently having a mini-crisis about leaving for Australia in under two months so looks like I'll be up all night after all :p
Seriously though, what the hell got into me to think it would be all fun and games to move to the other side of the world with no one I know for 6 months? :(

I drove home down the country lanes this morning Snolls, just to freak out the missus really, and freak her out it did. In truth, me too. I know these country lanes (and they really are lanes) really well, know where it floods and how badly etc but fuck me it was dicey in a couple of places. Not that I let on to her I was worried of course, let the passenger do the freaking. But yeah, big floods here.

(The main road was pretty bad too, went out that way originally so should have realised how bad the lanes would be)

not doing much pv these days, did a 50mg sample a couple days ago. Just stims in general these dayz fuckin me up big tima.

But if I did got a 500mg pv bag or a g or more, I promise u I would be a crazymadnessMESS. It could detroy me ;) Don't dare to touch.But want in sum way. but nono.

There's an old bloke across the road from us who has a wooden fence (about 8ft high) and every single year the wind comes in from the west and rips them apart. Now, I think most of us would find another fence solution, but he just keeps replacing them to be ripped up and blown down each year 8)

Anyhoo - A lovely friend of mine made me aware of the late Polish artist Zdzislaw Beksiński who's art is FUCKING AMAZING!
Extremely dark but some of the most beautifully created work I've ever seen.

Here's some of his work and his story (which is quite tragic) and here's all of his work: Drawings, Paintings and his later Computer Experimentations

Enjoy :) And I hope you are all doing well and dreading Krimbo too <3~:|~<3

How deep were the floods SHM ? I may be travelling somewhere near your general vicinity soon.

Yeah they were proper on the country back roads almost as bad as I've ever seen them, at least headed that way. The route I'm talking I know like the back of my hand and thought I was safe doing it but like I say, I got surprised in a couple of places. It's all really died down here now but I hear there's more forecast for just after Christmas? Yeah, that'll bring more proper floods. It's quite serious. I've seen flooded houses today, properly flooded houses.

Word. Beksinski is awesome. I probably wouldn't have his work on display in my house cos I'm easily spooked, but it definitely does its job as far as evoking a sense of unease goes. Reminds me a bit of when I'd stay in my uncle's room at my grandparents' while he was away at uni. Fucking loads of Giger's stuff plastered on the walls. Weird that he considered Debbie Harry to be his muse, p sure he did a piece that was basically fucked up android Debs but can't find it when I look.

Anyways. Just in from the pub. Really good to see my mate again and to meet her bloke, who was similarly lovely. Was debating carrying on the boozing when I got in but can't be arsed feeling like crap tomorrow so dinner and bed it is. Should maybe do some reading in prep for essays but more likely to just bang an audiobook on or An Idiot Abroad and get to sleep.

edit: Fucking sucks that Beksinski was murdered, especially after his wife died from a prolonged illness and his son killing himself.

And I agree Snolly - Having his work on the walls would lead for an uneasy experience in a house. And Giger's around?!?!?! Jeez... The only people who would be comfortable with that would be massive sexual maniacs :D

And his death... What a fucking waste! :( Some little fucking cunt wanting his money and, because the word "no" was used, he gets stabbed 17 times :(
