i've done 5meodmt many times and we always just chased it off foil. i would not advise trying it alone - it comes on incredibly fast and strong and you'll need somebody to grab the lighter, foil, etc. as you collapse :)

the server problem is being worked on. but it needs time and money, both of which are in short supply at bluelight. things should improve in the near future and we'll post an update when we can.

Value in the things we do is very subjective, I hardly go out of an evening these days but was full on for nearly 10 years.

Getting worried about it and pressurising yourself to do things you aren't happy doing is not always the best thing.

I've always worked and that keeps me busy in the week, if I was at home all day I'd end up in a right mess.

I don't really value things and money highly and have never had any aspirations to speak of but I've muddled through and hope that I can help the odd person here and there and do more good than harm.

That said I haven't been genuinely short of money for a long time, when I left home at 18 I moved into a room in a shared house with a mattress on the floor.

I've had some lucky breaks but consistently working at largely the same thing for nearly 25 years has its benefits, so at least I get a decent wage but along with that come quite a stressful job.

Providing for my family gives me some satisfaction and the house we have now is a world away from some of the shit holes I've lived in and working is kinda natural. When we lived in caves we didn't sit about all day, if we had we would have died.

I've never tried to play the climb the ladder game at work, but having been employed by RBS for a number of years I've seen the worst of that kinda thing. I get paid for what I know and what I can deliver, I'm not well known for my diplomacy and can be awkward to work with. It's not deliberate I often seem to say things others are unwilling to and it doesn't always go down well, but in the main I get on OK.

Oh, quick question, would you run lines with it as you would gear or just keep it in a pool on the spot?
 
Fucking hell, the difference having a decent bed makes. First time in over half a year that I've woken up and been able to walk around without being in agony. If I could use the central heating I'd almost be happy.
 
I'm off Christmas shopping. It's going to be fucking awful. Hopefully I'll survive. :/

the final saturday, 4 days before christmas it will be hell. There is no way on earth id do that excpet if someone paid me. I cant stand the crowds, queues of people 4 deep just to look at stuff on the shelves what a nightmare. Theres 2 good things about most of my closest family having emigrated to australia, we have mutually decided that posting christmas presents to each other is impractical due to the postage costs, and its free food and accommodation too whenever i can get my arse over there. Its only been twice so far. Otherwise i miss them at christmas, its no longer a big extended family event, its just me and my dad these days, we're like steptoe and son or something, were both around the same age as those two.

And its interesting to hear what drugs our Director of PR takes. I had no idea what 'the boss' was into substance wise.
 
It's the winter solstice today. :D

Thank fuck for that, allthough we've probably not had the worst of the weather yet, i allways find this a psycholigically signifcant date. It means things start getting better rather than worse in terms of the hours of daylight vs darkness. There wont be any noticeable difference for a week or so, but after that it will be noticebale, every day of daylight will be about 3 minutes longer. It doesnt sound like much, but it means that by the end of every week from now until the summer solstice, we will get at least an extra 20 minutes of daylight.

I hate the run up to the winter solstice, its by far the worst time of year for me, ive managed to completely avoid all shops blaring christams songs all day, that really drives me mad, and today marks the turning point. If Stonehenge wasnt so far away and going to be so crowded and heavily policed i would go there to take part in the Pagan ritual.

Has anyone here ever been to 'the henge' at one of the Solstices ?

yeah thats unforgetabble that tune. This year we seem to have had the proper traditional 4 seasons for once. For the preceeding 7 years or something its just been cold for 6 months, and then rained for 6 months. This year has not been my best year to say the least, but at least we did have a good summer, and i was actually thankfull to be unemplyed during it, and did make quite good advantage of it.
