Well after spending several hours in A&E last night with one leg twice the size of the other and red in colour.
Was given a D-dimer blood test which the result indicated a Dvt.
Was given an injection into the fat on my stomach & 4 syringes so I can inject myself once a day for next 4 days.
Hospital called this morning & got to go back in this afternoon for a ultrasound mri scan and see what the results of that are.
So all fun & games, just hope I don't have too far to walk around hospital as am in agony after about 2mins of walking.
Fingers crossed they can get it sorted.

If you've got to go from dept to dept you should be able to get a porter to push you in a hospital chair which they'll provide. Ask at reception as you go in. There's normally a stack of wheelchairs at the public main entrance doors for the public to use. Some need a quid putting in like a shopping trolly.


Have you got your own transport sorted to get you to the hospital? If it's taxis youre getting and you cant afford it you can ring them (the hospital) and they may be able to organise hospital transport to pick you up, and let them know you'll need it going back afterwards too. Normally they need a days warning tho I think. If you've got an H2 certificate or get free prescrition costs cos youre on the dole you MAY be able to claim some of your transport costs back too, so if you are having to get taxis. get them to give you a receipt each time. I think it's anything over £12 in a week you can claim over when you've reached that limit, depends on your certificate.

Brimz is the best person to chat this one over cause he's got one too, so might be worth shooting him a PM, he might not see this here.

Don't want to worry you, but if you've got enough time to and your mate can help you at home, why not pack an overnight bag with your pjs and toothbrush and stuff JUST incase you have to stay in overnight. Seriously doubt you'll have to but it's saved me and mine a lot of hassle being prepaired for an overnight stay and making a bag up just incase they want to do any procedures next day.

If you remember to, ask each dept you visit for an 'attendance slip' ... it proves youve been there and it's what you'll need to claim back transport cash, and it may be useful to show the dole you've been ill if you cant sign on etc.

Yes I am having to use taxis to get to hospital & back but my flatmate who works came with me last night and kindly offered to pay for the taxi and he has just texted me from work to say he is coming home early so he can come to hospital with me again.
I am so lucky to have such a good friend who has always been there for me for the last 20 years, very decent man.
Will let you know how I get on once I am finished,thanks for the support again.

Good idea Marmz,I hadn't thought about that. Would come in handy as evidence as I due to sign on tmrw and then Work programme on Monday.
Will be useful if I need to signed as sick for a few days or whatever.

Indeed you are max, from what you've written about him in the past he sounds like someone you can count on. Going to hospital apps like this on your own can be a scary business if youre not used to how they work, and depts are bursting at the fucking seams atm.

Remember when Bluntsie used to blame it on the attitude of the nurses and them not doing their jobs properly? Take note of how busy everyone of them is when youre left waiting around for your appoinments today max, and if it's anything like I see all the time, they're really struggling in most of the clinics.

and if your mate is taking you, just get him to grab one of the wheelchairs at the main doors, theyre there for public use and he can wheel you about from dept to dept, don't walk if youre in pain and you dont need to

After reading this dthat does sound a lot like a DVT . You won't die but if you end up being put on Warfarin at times you might want to :\

If it is DVT you wont have to worry about the work program for the near future Max, and I'd get a Docs note asap to sign you off ... you'll get at least a month while they find out whats going on imo .... could be wrong tho
 
Didn't see this post Brimz & just replied to you in the pain thread. Hopefully i will get more of an idea today after the scan.Will let u know how it goes and if it is dvt you can probably give me some advice mate. Gonna get phone charged now and have cuppa, have good day.

Usually id say fuck oxy as well. i aint a big fan of it but its worth a dabble now and again

dan: have you ever paid someone to fit a car stereo? I have always done it in the past but cant be fucked with this new car, are halfords a ripoff asking 30 quid for it?
 
Its pretty simple, thats why the day staff at Halfords would be fitting it for you. Youtube is your friend anyway.

I'm gonna order some at some point (maybe.)

All I have at the moment is etizolam, flurbro, 100mg of shit bk-2cb.

Been spending too much on fent and booze. I may get some 5f-akb-48 again. 15/20quid and it lasted me months. I don't drink much when I'm stoned if at all.

I can't afford 4quid a day on booze, or 50quid on fent which lasts a day or 2 each batch, especially since I jacked my job in.

Nah, always fitted mine myself

£30 is a redicilious price

How new is your car? what car is it? might be harder on newer cars with those weird dashboards. if i recall, halfords are a rip off for everything
