it may not even work atall if you're on SNRIs, i took about 2 days off my SSRIs to dose MDMA, all i got was the butterfy stomach and all night stimulation, the high did not work at all, and IIRC i was more mopey than usual on the following days. Sorry, thats probably not what you wanted to hear, someone else might have a different take on it.
 
Wouldn't say it would be a horrible idea as such, Pagey. May not be an amazing experience purely cos you don't have enough brainchems in stock to fully appreciate but on the plus side it's not gonna make the comedown any much worse than it already will be. Maybe try to get as much nourishment as rest in between now and then as possible? And try to save a lil something for yerself, m'dear. I do believe you have summat to celebrate too this week ;)

EDIT: Doh! Sorry. Forgot about the SSRIs. I wouldn't take MDMA at all in that case. Won't really work at all unless you skip your dose for a day or so either side :\

Oh now I'm leaning towards taking it :p
My only concern is how much it would exacerbate the comedown, if it wouldn't make it much worse I don't have too much of a dilemma haha. I'll think about it. Thanks Shambles :)

well knock out doses of benzos will see you through the acute phase of the comedown, and allow you to get some zzzzzzs, i think the lack of sleep was one of the worst problems of stim comedowns before i discovered benzos.

How is the PAWS thing going ? Is that getting any better ? Im really struggling with it, Im just managing to hold out long enough to get over the physical wds and then the dip in mood that comes afterwards is fuckin hard to deal with. Ive been off daily consumption for a few weeks now, but am relapsing about once a week when ive just fuckin had enough. Have barely got anything left for another relapse now though. I'm also trying to reduce my benzo and sleeping pill consumption, and everything is a bit of struggle atm to find any motivation

i always wondered, does the benzo sleep actually feel restful?

supposedly its not REM sleep so its basically jsut a way to pass the time...
 
yeah, it is harder to wake up/get out of bed in the mornings though compared to a natural nights sleep. I allways thought benzos affected REM sleep but they certainly dont prevent it alltogether, i still have dreams, the brain needs its REM sleep and will get some in somewhow. (Im not up aith all the scientific papers on this, there must be loads)

I always find if ive necked a load of benzos to try and get to sleep, once I wake up.. whether its after 5-7 hours or something theres no chance I can get back to sleep again, its like it knows ive cheated, quite strange though waking up at like 6am and being wide awake with no desire to go back to slumber.
 
but is it better (as in do you feel more relaxed, rejuvenated) than after going to sleep say drunk?

It's not a case of passing the time and 'REM' really should not be your goal - if your on a stim binge your probably dosing every couple of hours (yeah x-drug has x-redose time). Just being able to break the cycle of OMG - what next, have a few hours not fiending that 'high' chances are when your come around / wake up your don't have that compulsion to 'just a half' - ' half a line' etc.

Not all dreams occur during REM sleep. Only the most vivid and lifelike ones.

Try spending a couple of weeks away from benzos and see how your dreams change.
 
well im benzo free actually, was just pondering their use for bringing sleep at tail ends of trips ... for instance DOC, 4FA and many other substances have a couple of hours of needless and useless stimulation before sleep can occur naturally. i was just trying to find if benzos would help or natural sleep would be preffered

Well that is a mid term goal. As you know its not something i or any else can just suddenly stop taking. The taper is gonna have to be gradual and drawn out so i may or may not notice sudden dramatic changes. The timing of my benzo taper should work out much better than my opi one though, so that rather than coming to end at the start of the Winter, it should be coming to an end early next summer.
