Me too. Rules, authority and austerity :)

But we can't live without rules. For example, I think there are lots of good rules about driving. Like keeping traffic on one side of the road. It means you can drive with the reasonable expectation that another vehicle isn't going to come crashing into you and kill you. I reckon most people would agree with that rule. What do you think, MOP and Ed?

My issue with rules is more about who makes the rules, who enforces them and how they are enforced. I don't like the idea of elites making rules for the "plebs". I don't like the idea of professional rule enforcers. And I don't like the idea of "punishment".

Unfortunately Bluelight has all of this :D And I'm a rule enforcer. Makes me feel a bit queasy at times.

But let's keep it in perspective. I don't think it's at all similar to a police state, "representative" democracy, or being a cop. I mean, I can't tase anyone. I don't get paid. And the only punishment is not being allowed to post on Bluelight. Also, the rules on BL don't give unfair advantage to the people who make the rules, or their pals. No-one is raking in heaps of cash and living it up at your expense. I hope.

I'm a Hgv driver so yes a very good point.
However I wouldn't have a problem with rules if EVERONE was treated the same.
This never happens in my experience of whatever walk of life people exsist in
 
My post wasnt a pop at the mods or you in particular knock i respect you have a job to do and you have been quite helpful to me here recently so you know its nothing to do with that. Its more to do with what some get away without that seemingly go's unpunished..outrageous stuff now not little things..
But thats another can of worms best left untouched

Yes, I agree. We have a problem with consistency. There are various reasons for that:
- Some of the rules are vague
- Some of the rules aren't even written down!
- The mods don't have time to carefully weigh each decision
- DIfferent mods have different approaches
- When the rules are broken, the exact circumstances are always different, and those circumstances affect our decision making.
- The mods sometimes make mistakes

All I can do is apologise for these facts but I can't see it changing in the near future.
 
A good cry can be good for you ed. When the floods have passed, things are often a bit clearer and easier <3

I felt like shit yesterday, but I feel great today! I don't deserve to, I was up till 6am passing out from GBL in front of the telly.

There is no rhyme, nor is there reason.

Rather pleasant night last night! Clubbing with a bunch of people I thought were just drinkers, turns out they're all very much into their drugs. Happy days. <3

Now playing with methylphenidate in an attempt to get some cleaning done!

He was allowed to return from a permaban (fucking unheard of) on condition he kept to the rules, and if he did break the rules he'd be 'fasttracked' and banned again, no chances.

in the event, he did have a few chances, but there was a (pretty big) straw that broke the camel's back that we had no choice but to act on.

sad, but true. I've spoken to Bodda online since, and yeah he's pissed off, but he does accept that what he did was unacceptable.
