Gibberings CIX: Faulty 'y' key? Or just high?

Fell asleep for two hours then woke up needing drugs to find Obama has won. My head says "so fuck" but my heart says "thank fuck".
 
He may use his brain but it's not in the interests of the common people...

I was reading that the federal policy is not to interfere with weed legalisation in the states, but they still go after illegal outfits.

Can't find the link just now though.


Anyway, back to Obama's second term - military activity in the middle east will continue, the drones will carry on striking, Guantanamo Bay will most likely still be operational in four years time, and the wealth gap will continue to increase.

Those are my predictions. The best thing about it for me is that the first black president gets a second term, so it says good things about changing racial attitudes, plus Romney's a rich cunt and it's always nice when rich cunts don't get what they want.

Part of me likes to celebrate that fact, but the cynical side of me thinks 'Thatcher'. What did she ever do for British women (beside almost immediately rolling back any advances toward equality in the workplace)?

The fact he's President is definitely a good thing for black Americans seeking a role model outside the spheres of music, entertainment and sports, but then you could say the same about Condi Rice, eh? ;)

The sad fact is that I don't think Obama's actually had that much real impact on racial equality. Those prison population figures still scream 'institutionalised racism', sadly.

I don't think he's made anything worse though. Imagine if bawheid Romney had won? A fucking Mormon allowed near the end the world button? Aye that will be fucking right!
