No lol @ Sadie. Thats a horrible procedure. I think the main reason they dont put people under for that is a lot of people vomit from anesthesia when they are under and there is a danger of aspiration along with the normal dangers of anesthesia. Colonoscopy isn't so bad. Hope you get the all clear from this.

Consumer, quite the opposite. They were gonna put me under for the endoscopy and colonoscopy. They were reluctant to just give me a numbing spray. I dare to think about the damage at both ends! my admission was to be put under for both which I wasn't advised on prior.

Almost glad I was sick and unable to do the colonoscopy in the same day.

Oh ok. Its quite common here to have the procedure with local and a benzo to help you relax. I assumed that was because of the danger of aspiration but i could well be wrong. It may just be to save money for all i know. The health system works in strange ways that dont always make sense.
