I did a quick face palm and asked how exactly this would be any different to the plastic matrix in a fenanyl patch especially since they are made by the same fucking company.....

She jthen conceded I may have a point and gave me some oxy instead but it hardly inspired confidence...:)

Got there in the end at least :) You are lucky you know how to talk to these kind of doctors through your own experience.... at the end of the day, you basically (and correctly) advised the person that is meant to be treating you.
 
Sometimes they can resent it a bit if you come a cross like you actually know what you're talking about. Like as if you are challenging their authority somehow. She wasn't really like that but some are. The key is to let them lead the conversation and come a cross as totally subservient but at the same time subtly direct the discussion in the right direction of they come out with something you know is stupid or wrong without appearing like you're telling them their job.

I've had way too much dealing with GPs in the last few months and it makes such a massive difference if you get a good one who wants to help you as oppose to some Nazi with a prescription pad who's on some sort of power trip.

Yeah some definately are. This Polish bird was ok though but I had to stifle a laugh when I walked into the room and she goes..."ah G.....vot are ve going to do vith you eh?".....(picture the strongest Eastern European accent you've ever heard).....

I kept expecting her to say "zo vat vill ve do about zeeze fucking Germanz invading my country everytime zey get bored?" :)
 
Try the PM crew-idiots outside of their field. When I was doing radiation, one of the PM types asked why didn't they give me steroids for the burns.? Face/palm...

Sorry mate, but if I walked into a room with a Polish bird saying "vot are ve going to do vith you eh?", the last thing on my mind would be Germans...
 
I can't count how many Polish people I've offended when discussing the geography of their country. The map of Poland in my head most is the one from my favourite game. It covers from 1933 to just after WW2 and it changed a good wee bit during that time :o

Evening EADD!

Feels like forever since I last posted here. Looks like things are ticking over as they ever have. Sorry to momentarily turn everything serious.

Just back from somewhat of an impromptu break from BL. Turns out giving up smoking was no good for my mood. Was smooth sailing for 6 weeks off nicotine, then boom. Went to shit.

Ah well. I'm vaping now & starting to move forwards again. Not got myself a job yet, but working that way by going down the perpetual student route. Got a place on a college course doing a computing course based around technical support. Quite looking forward to it although I dare say studying again after a 5 year break will take a little getting used to!

Unlike Uni it won't just be another round of dossing about & taking drugs. =D

So purchasing Polish larger necessitates buying it from an ACTUAL Polish person?...

Is it illegal for your regular corner shop owner to sell such a beverage?...:)
 
I like all the Polish deli's opening up. There's some great stuff on sale. One day I got asked with contempt whilst perusing the pickle aisle if I was Russian :\

Not sure of the cultural politics with that one... 8(

I love looking at all the stuff in my local Polish delis (there's about 20 within walking distance). The meat section looks fantastic, but I haven't got a clue what anything is :\

There's also a bottle of vodka in the shape of a cock and balls which I absolutely have to have. Keep a lookout in the 'What have you bought recently' thread...

I love them like all delis! The staff are usually happy to tell you about the items and I've tried loads of stuff. The meats are usually really nice but rich / fatty. Good for doing an antipasto type board with cheeses so it's a little taste of everything. Adore the pickle things though!

Keep away from the dumplings - man they're heavy shit lol :D Better to make your own from a Polish recipe.

On you go buy the cock n' ball voddy - is it expensive? Not seen it, though I've not looked.

For me nothing can beat an Asian market - totally love those places %)
