Although if you read the thread it's actually a trend that comes from Europe.

Raw cocoa will give you a rush of the body's natural opiate, endorphins. If you've ever had a "runners high" then it will be pretty much the same feeling. The trend is becoming popular in Berlin rave scenes as a "legal high". It is actually starting to take the place of alcohol, cocaine, and ecstasy there. Maybe it'll be in the States eventually, I'd give it a try.

On a more serious note, has anybody noticed the great Multi-Pack Chocolate Bar rip-off?

If you buy an individual Twirl for 65 p., you get 43 g. of chocolate for your money (1.512 p. per gram). But if you buy a pack of three bars for £1.50, each one weighs only 34 g (1.471 p. per gram). This leaves you nine grams -- over half of one of the bars of the inferior multipack Twirl! -- shy of satisfaction; so, desperate for your fix, you crack open the second Twirl from the multipack and eat just one bar. Perhaps you tried to cut it in half, but it crumbled all over the place and the simplest solution was just to eat the lot. And although this has left you 8g. up on the deal, your chocolatey snack has wound up costing you 75p., wiping out your original saving and then some.
 
Ah yes, but the canny shopper would be buying multipacks that are on offer. I never pay more than a quid for a multipack of choccy bars. Admittedly this leave one at the mercy of whatever one's local shopping establishments have on offer but as there are always a number of options, and as almost all chocolate is good chocolate, this has never yet been a problem for me. For more specific chocolate requirements I would stand shoulder-to-chocolate-stained-shoulder in empathy at the horrific scam on display.
 
The shrinking size of packets has been happening here for a while. With most packaged food. 10grams here, 20 grams there. Price remains the same...its sneaky. It's like one of my mates sells 0.8g of coke for $300 as his ounce price went up..i said just charge more...but people just want to pay $300 so thats what he does. Luckily I have better access than he does :)

Yeah. I understand where he is coming from. He wont step on it and people dont want to pay extra so i guess he has no choice. My guy gives me the correct weight, a couple of lines while i am there and has 2 grades...one maybe 50-60% for $350 or 80 - 90% off the block for $450. I usually go the latter but get an 8 ball. Sometimes it's $400..it depends on what he has paid. But i have known this guy since infants school so I am not the normal customer.
 
Thats Australia for you. Nothing is cheap here which is when the time comes I am moving to Thailand. Anyway I think my bed time is approaching. Big day of work tomorrow. Not really tired but I think i need to get away from the pc or I will find myself on netflix till 1am. Adios amigos
