No they have nothing to do with childten that's social services. I choose to go into treatment i was not forced i can chose to fuck it all off too. I don't want her checking up on me like a fkn kid im nearly 36. Checking my meds.

I'm just simply finding a way round their stupid bloody system. I know what I'm doing :)

I never said it wasn't for everyone i said it wasn't for me n that they could cater for other people's needs. I feel that in my opinion it's kids stuff, bores me n i'd struggle with it. I don't have to like it cause others may do.

Given your track record of the last 6 months you are playing with fire trying to work the system. Key worker or SS, if you flash enough warning signals expect an unannounced visit if you suddenly are not contactable
 
I'm not going to not turn up. I'm simply going to "forget" to give my number until new year. Then I'll phone up as late as possible so she has to book me in quick, i get script no lectures etc n save all the laborious crap they go through n hopefully she'll "forget" this visit. I'll then give her my new number having been sincerely sorry that I "forgot" to earlier ;)

And do you not think they have experienced these type of avoidance strategies before? All your doing is souring your communications with them from the get go and giving a bad impression, later when you need their good grace you wont have it and they will have a preconceived image of you as another one of these annoying people (to them) trying to make their life harder.

Good luck with that one Evey, I'm sorry to tell you I don't think any of these great ideas will be outsmarting the social who've seen it all a million times before 8)
 
Given the circumstances Eve - it doesn't matter if you have been 100% honest with them or if you take your halo off at the door upon entry. You are there for a reason and both parties know it - they have a responsibility to ensure the safety of all parties involved. The can and will follow up on this, if you try to bypass the 'system' it will be flagged as a warning sign (somebody has tried it before and failed) - if a keyworker is suspicious they have a duty to inform Social or child welfare.

Just my tuppence ha'penny worth, but although you're correct to a point, the DSPs are obliged to ensure that children of drug users are being properly cared for, and they have the power to involve social services if they have any doubts at all. The best way to 'play the system' IME is total compliance - then they tend to leave you alone. I received only 2 home visits when I was on methadone, I didn't want them coming but trying to avoid it would have raised suspicions.

Sorry Eve, you actually raised the subject of home visits on an open site. Pretty hard to discuss the logic behind why a key worker for a drug addict would want to make a home visit without mentioning the obvious.

I actually mentioned your daughter once in this matter, the other post (above) was talking about child welfare - if you do not appreciate it being discussed then I suggest keeping it off the site.

Starts the conversation, gets told honest opinions, shuts down the conversation while getting personally offended about personal information she's given us. Couldn't make it up lol.

Anyway hope everyone is well. I'm dying, like 3 hours sleep in 3 days, only one of those nights was I on stims the rest is just pain keeping me awake. Hopefully today will sleep right through surely.
