Pretty sure I was offered a 100% raise and job title change just now. Weird, I was thinking about quitting this morning. . .

Now I need to make my mind up!

I might still quit. I have worked 28 consecutive 12+ hour days. Hard going.
 
I'm pretty sure the first actual piece of advice I got as a mod was actually in the form of a Roman Numerals chart from MailMonkey.

edit: actually it was 'don't be a mod' but that was far too late to be useful

(Kidding - much love to EADD mods past and present, you guys do a sterling effort)

Are their many Romans in EADD anyways?

I used Roman Numerals in a thread title the other day, but mainly because it was "IV". =D
 
They do! And I dunno where we got the tradition from, though as you said it does work out quite appropriately one in a blue moon :D

edit: my mother just rang asking me to help her work out when my Grandad was born as she can't quite remember how old he is and hoped I might know. She said she'd tried to work it out from when she was born and I quickly found the reason she couldn't get the right date when she goes to me 'well I'm fifty, so...'. She hasn't been fifty for the past two years and she knows this

But may be enlisted to clean out the old one first :(
 
Any OS is nicer than Windows 8! Except Windows 10. And Vista.

Just picked the new car up, was faffing about with the bluetooth connectivity streaming my stuff from Google Play when I thought 'ha, I'm gonna put some porn on really loud and freak out my girlfriend', so I did, and it was hilarious, but I didn't bank on the touchscreen displaying the title and website, nor on it freezing when I disconnected my phone so now it's stuck on 'KATE GOES DOGGING - SPANKWIRE.COM' and I am fucking dying =D

Overheard on a bus one time, going past St. Andrew's Church in Swanwick:

It did even helpfully say in big, bold capital letters on the notice board outside, PARISH CHURCH OF SAINT ANDREW so there wasn't much chance of mistaking it. Whose flag might you reasonably expect to see flying outside a Church dedicated to St. Andrew? What do you mean, can you phone a friend?!

And people wonder why I despair for humanity .....
