I've scared the hell out of my daughter 3 times today yelling PETER, PETER DINGLIGE! She's actually jumped. I would not be surprised if she pooped herself a bit!

I can't speak for Sadie; but I don't want my daughter having an accent influenced by Peppa the Pig.

And neither of my kids can watch Curious George if I'm around as I find George irritating and his owner patronising.

We compromise with Courage the cowardly dog, Steven Universe, a few Ninja showsand stuff

My nephew watches Peppa Pig... in one episode there is a parrot that after being called "you silly old bird", repeats it to granny pig or whoever instead of the message it was supposed to give. My nephew then went around saying that to everyone... we had to explain it's not a nice thing to say necessarily but he found it very amusing... :D

Haha, yeah, I actually hate Peppa Pig, although it can come in handy if you need to get stuff done. My daughter is 4 so she's past Peppa now (so she says); however, my son is only 18 months and it's the only thing he'll watch. Which is good, I don't want them just watching the tele, I'd rather he played, but sometimes, you need to get things done in peace.

I actually don't mind Curious George, 'The Man in The Yellow Hat' is a bit of a knob, agreed.

I'm trying to introduce what I think is cool shit to my daughter now, basically films that I was into when younger. She loves Ghostbusters, The Karate Kid (original one), Neverending Story. I put Gremlins on recently, but I realised it might be a bit inappropriate for her age. We also watch Doctor Who together, which is obviously rather complicated for a young child, but it's harmless family Saturday night entertainment which I enjoy too.

You let your daughter watch Game of Thrones... what's wrong with Peppa Pig or Curious George?

She's nearly 15! I think she knows enough about the world. She also tells me she gets embarrassed and fastforwards through the naughty scenes.

Haha, 15, alright alright, I imagined a toddler for some reason with you fast forwarding the naughty scenes.

When I was 12 or something I remember I watched Silence of the Lambs with my grandparents, awkward when Buffalo Bill starts dancing about with his cock between his legs to Goodbye Horses by Q Lazzarus. Belter of a tune though!

Goodbye Horses - Q Lazzarus

my daughter she is 27 wanted to watch the anti-christ with us but i had to say no to that one

I remember when young having to leave the room trying to hide it when anything came on that showed anything didnt need much for a teen and my dad laughing everytime

ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwww 8o =D

Mushet, if it makes you feel any better I'm watching ELF with my 14 year old daughter. Is that better? ;)

I watched Freddie Crougar etc during the eighies lol.

My lil one likes Curious George, Dr McStuffin, Sofia the first etc. She watches Peppa Pig n Ben n Holly now n then but I try to discourage this - even this I've just been shopping with my Mam n picked out a pair of Peppa Pig Pyjamas when she asked me which ones for Christmas haha ye gotta have a laugh haven't you.

We watch Dr Who i have the box sets with David Tennent in n so we watch them. We also watch the old Christmas films like Santa Claus the movie. I enjoy Karate Kid n all that but feel she's too young for all those films although I did try getting her into karate for awhile as I wanted her to defend her if anyone ever tried to attack her.
