GHL overdose

Last night my good friend went into a coma from taking gbl, he took the one component on its own, he had been drinking however the medics say drinking and gbl on its own would not cause a overdose

What other factors could come into play to have caused this ? i dont know much about ghl how is it different to ghb ?

Im just trying to understand......
 
a real coma or just a coma-like sleep which is a common consequence to a gbl overdose ....

drinking alcohol and gbl/ghb? that combo has a high chance of death. the medics who said that are morons. drinking alcohol by itself can cause coma, as can drinking gbl/ghb by itself; mixing the 2 is very bad news.

a real coma, hes showing no response to pain and has been unconscious for 24hrs already..

and they say ghb/ghl shouldnt be illegal.....
 
if a doctor is saying ghb should be legal he deserves to have his liscense revoked.
 
GBL and alcohol not causing trouble....
that medic is a fucking idiot.
that is probably the most dangerous drug combo i could think of.
GHB/GBL/1,4B are as safe as any other drug if you know what you are doing.

just out of intrest do you know how much he took?
GBL is not broken down as fast as GHB in the body, it must be turned to GHB before it can be used.

Yeah he took one capfull altho ive since heard he didnt have scales so maybe he mis-measured the doses.. i suspect he took gbl neat without taking it to ghb first...
He is now awake - 1.5 days later, and seems to be ok, scary stuff tho... he knows what hes doing usually and is not a novice at this type of stuff..

Just shows how much it pays to be carefull...

and tathra i agree about alcohol ....
 
If you're talking about a 20oz soda bottle capful, you're talking nearly 7ml. Now that much GBL on its own will put anyone out for the night, never mind the alcohol.

That much GBL with a good dose of alcohol could very well have killed him. He is lucky.

GBL is 1.6 times as potent as GHB. Bioavailability. Keep in mind most people's GHB is diluted, too.

For most people, 2ml of GBL is too much for recreational purposes. 1.5 ml seems to be a good dose, and for some girls I know even .75 or 1ml is just right.

GBL demands a high level of awareness and education--there are other issues that are not present with GHB, such as metabolic acidosis.

These medics need to be educated on the topic better. GBL alone can cause an overdose. Alcohol alone can cause an overdose. GBL and alcohol together can most certainly cause an overdose.

alcohol... along with nicotine and caffeine. High potential for addiction and abuse, nothing the medical community can benefit from! But hey, these are the breaks.
 
Marijuana, Heroin, and Cocaine all have medical uses just like Alcohol, Caffeine, and Tobacco, they should all be legal.

Well after talking to my friend, 8 hrs is the longest reported ghb overdose so to be out for 1.5 days he needs to consider himself v lucky ( not that he is of course )

seems likes its to easy to mismeasure on this drug, i certainly wouldnt trust myself in a club with 1ml of a fluid....

alcohole + glb/ghb= can and has killed ppl

there wouldnt had been an overdose more than likely if it wasnt for the alcohole.
 
and GHB/GBL if you know the dosage and know your limits it isnt any more harmful than alcohole
