ok, i've been reading a couple of the ghb horror stories pages and they make claims that quitting cold turkey. one page even mentioned that "heroin withdrawals are nothing compared to ghb." hahaha. which leads me to believe that the withdrawal thing is total bullshit.
but just to be on the safe side....is there any chance at all that you could die?
 
In theory, yes, GHB withdrawal can kill, much in the same way benzo withdrawal can kill.
 
where do you guys read this? i have read many places that ghb is not addictive physically but mentally. i used to do a lot of g back in the day and i have gone on some binges and never got withdrawl symptoms from stopping.
 
I have definately suffered severely from GHB withdrwal, well actually GBL (straight from pelchats, lol) anyways... I would do it for 2 weeks straight sometimes then not do it...my sleeping would be all fucked up, I would wake up in the middle of the night like every 5 minutes...then the next day I would feel all "shakie" I started using Xanax to help me with my GHB withdrawl, then I became addicted to Xanax and I got the SAME type of withdrawl symptons, NOT COOL. DO NOT get addicted to either one of these drugs..
 
Whoever said its not physically addictive is a moron. The withdrawals arent as bad as benzos though. Best way to avoid them is by weaning.
 
the withdrawals aren't bad at all. just some shakiness/anxiety/sweaty palms. the only bad part is how much it fucks up your sleeping habits. that's the only reason i got off g. waking up every 3 hours to redose just to stay asleep sucks. and not being able to sleep for 3 nights in a row after quitting cold turkey isn't fun either.
 
Look, I read on various websites that this drug is not addictive, and from personal experiences I never got withdrawl symptoms. I have been on binges just like junglist and sometimes more time, and have never NEEDED it to function. I would mentally want it, but never physically. Negrogesic, have you ever had any withdrawl from it? How many times have you done it? So by calling my a moron you are just giving negative feedback to my opinion and that's just ignorant and stupid. Maybe if you did it for like 5 months everyday straight you might get some bad shit goin if you dont have any. I'm simply stating my opinions and facts based on personal experience, so why dont you provide some proof as to where you get off being so ignorant.
This is straight from a website "Physical withdawal symptoms appear in SOME people who stop using GHB after more than a few consecutive days of repeated use.
if you have a medical website that says the withdrawl can kill you or at least have severe withdrawl, why dont you provide it ... Some of the symptoms mentioned in the site of the withdrawl are so minor that they go unnoticed.

I've gone a couple months doing ghb every night... Then I ran out and couldn't get more. Was worried about withdrawls, but I just had a mixed drink at night (or a xanax) and never noticed anything.
So, anyway, if there IS any withdrawal problem from this amount of ghb usage, then the alcohol seems to work as a good substitute to avoid it. Now, how do I quit fucking drinking every night???

initially you cn get away with no withdrawal takin opiates for a couple of months, but then after your brain associates and learns not to make as much endorphin u get the clucks when u stop.
GHB is similar in that a similar amino acid exists in the brain. when used lots for a long time neural connections are associated and the brain LEARNS to survive with an external chemical.
there is a lot more to it than this. look it up at a decent neuroscience site.
One thing is true everyone differs in the there response, withdrawal and addiction experience. Not everyone get addicted to heroin - but most who use it a lot - DO.
