ghb smells like painthinner

I just bought a $80 bottle of ghb from not exactly a 'trusted source' but something close. To my surprise the stuff has a very strong smell. From what I understand, its not supposed to have one. It's quite repulsive, smells like painthinner but somewhat sweet at the same time. Is this common?

It tastes a lot better than it smells. Doesn't taste bad at all, just salty.

would letting it sit out help? I'm thinking there's some unevaporated solvent in it or something.

It's also possible that it may be GBL, the precursor to GHB which requires a lot less of a dose to take action. Be careful when you drink that stuff. Take it slowly at first.

GHB smells, tastes, and has the general aura of saltwater to the extreme. I find GBL to be a more chemical and intense sensation when experienced through the nose.

ghb doesnt have any smell to it, just a salty taste. gbl on the otherhand reaks like fucking cancer.

whats the dose? if its a liquid and smells like burning plastic, paint thinner, molten ASS.. test a bit of it by putting a dropper of it on non HPDE plastic (like your keyboard ) if its GBL it will melt the plastic, so you know its good for your insides

That doesn't sound right lol? I thought ingesting substances that melt other substances is bad?

Also, try letting it evaporate more, alot of the liquid G drugs get watered down or have solvent. Couldn't hurt to let evaporate since the Gxx wont evaporate regardless

well the more concentrated the GBL is the easier it will melt the plastic/ your keyboard.. 100% GBL melts plastic and can burn skin and you have to water it down before you ingest it

I put some on a spare keyboard and it didn't melt or anything. It was a fair amount too.

I'd stay away from alcohol and water then, they're powerful solvents.

My guess is that it's just badly made GHB, that has some GBL left in it from the synthesis. That would explain why it tastes salty but smells like paint thinner.
