No need to be rude is there, all I did was ask a question.
I've never pissed myself on it but I've woke up a fair few times in a&e.

That down to taking a bit too much and it knocking you out?
Actually, I've found the opposite. Strong benzos, like alprazolam, block the effects of G, in my case. I recall a time, years ago, where I took 1mg of alprazolam and was repeatedly dosing G, with no effect. All I could feel was that benzo feeling. Later that day, as the Xanax wore off, I was floored by whatever G I'd taken in the previous few hours. I believe this is because G works by activating the brain's GHB receptors. Yes, GHB is a naturally occurring neurotransmitter in humans and plays a role in keeping us feeling alert and normal, by releasing dopamine and tickling GABA-b and serotonin receptors. This is why taking moderate doses of G can cause a stimulating, euphoric high, while particularly high doses will primarily bombard GABA-b receptors, causing drunken effects, before knocking you out. I think G only seems to block the effects of benzos because benzos generally don't touch G rebounds/withdrawal. Only a GABA-b agonist will properly sort you out, especially if you're in withdrawal. I've taken 30-50mg of alprazolam, with masses of vodka, during withdrawal and I've still been standing. I did eventually wake up on the floor, surrounded by bottles and only the vaguest memory of what had happened, so please don't do what I did. I'm lucky to be alive.gbl seems to have some weird blocking actions of its' own. It completely blocks the hypnotic effects of benzos long after the last dose, a good 12 hours or something. At least it does that for me, anyone else find the same thing?
I would urge people not to substitute G for alcohol.
Is there any thing out there at the moment that could be used in replacement of g?
yeah i also second what treacle is saying, going from ghb to alcohol and thinking you will get even remotely the same positive effects, you will be sorely disappointed..ive tried going back to alcohol and it just plain sucks now, doesnt matter what i drink or how much, all i get from alcohol is a sloshy, lethargic, feeling..on top of that there is no euphoria anymore, in fact it seems have been replaced by dysphoria...the clean, non jittery yet clear thinking euphoria that ghb produces i have not experienced in any other drug out there including stims, opiates, RCs, benzos...
ghbs or gbl main sticking point imo is the duration..with gbl u are looking at maybe an hour and a half worth of high, then a tiny rebound..sure, you can redose but each redose will leave you more sedated than the uppity feeling u get the first time..this is why i find it a little difficult to party all night log on gbl..
1,4-butanediol converts to GHB after ingestion
Just to reiterate I'm not looking to swap one addiction for another I'd just like something to help with/when I get cravings for g and the small amount of phenibut worked a treat the other week and also wiped out my anxiety, which has remained minimal since.
