Benzos GHB during Xanax withdrawal

Sup guys,

so i'm about 1 week off of benzos (after about 8 months of daily use, up to 4mg per day), and feelin great (cept for the last week) haha.

so I might hit the club this weekend, and I don't wanna fuck with anything that will affect GABAa and stifle my recovery (i.e. alcohol).

so does anyone have any experience or hear anything about taking some G during a benzo withdrawal? It affects GABAb instead of GABAa, but not sure if that makes a difference.

don't wanna mess up and jump back into withdrawal symptoms.

thx

um u are 1 week clean from benzos and already feeling great??wow, consider yourself lucky..

i wouldnt touch Ghb if you had an addiction to benzos..ghb is a much better drug and hits the gaba as u said..i do know this that after i have taken ghb for awhile, my tolerance to benzzos is sky fucking high..literally right now i could take 6-8 mgs of ativan and be wide awake..so its obvious there is some cross=tolerance working there..just go sober..

your going to a club maybe, little over a week clean and gabbing about which gaba, Dont go clubbing you might get into something else.

they give drunks librium, Why not give benzo man a few beers to relax? You cannot safely recover around people who are as messed up as you, Your robbing peter to pay paul.

GHB & Benzodiazepines are NOT cross tolerant. GHB doesn't affect GABA-A Receptors at all, it is strictly a GABA-B Agonist and also hits the GHB receptor.
I have used GHB a bit, and am a recovering benzo addict. Did it affect my Benzo Recovery? I don't think so.. but I have a long way to go as I was addicted to Benzo's for 8+ years and extremely high doses.
Cheers.

^^then how would you explain my insane tolerance to benzos now??back before using ghb i could take 2 mgs of ativan and stay asleep for 24 hours but now 6 mgs wont even barely sedate me...i never take benzos either so something must be going on...my tolerance to alcohol during this time has stayed the same, i never drink so a few beers can get me buzzed..

supeudol-how often are you taking ghb to warn away benzo withdrawals??how long u been off the benzos?i imagine phenibut would be a much bigger help in staying clean from benzos than ghb as ghb lasts such a short while...btw check your PM box!

You're fine to take G as long as you know what you are getting into with that drug. With regard to your benzo withdrawal...sounds like you got off easy. Consider yourself lucky. But no, GHB won't restart your benzo withdrawals.

wasn't easy at all. being bedridden for an entire week is not fun, but i finally got through the brunt of it.

btw I just tried it today. fuckin bomb, and no withdrawal from benzo feeling afterwards either. it left me glowing hahaha.

but i'm not a heavy G user. 2-3 caps every few days. can't imagine taking it every day.

1. Before messing around with GHB: it is scary stuff(I passed out on this stuff, woke up in brothels, all sorts of crazy, do not use more than once a week or you will get addicted regardless of what you read. YMMV.) .. I used to make this myself. It's quite easy to do but I don't know if the precursors are available as they were 15 years ago. I liked GHB too much and actually went through a GHB withdrawal that wasn't supposed to exist but believe me it does. I can only guess it must be similar to an alcohol or benzo w/d.
2. I found that after GHB that I had an insane alcohol tolerance. And during my "GHB w/d" I used beer after a couple of days and even a klonopin here and there and it relieved 90% of the symptoms after the first 48 hrs. I was also really young so YMMV.

I did a search on GHB and xanax withdrawal cuz I am looking for new solutions to my old problem as I'm a xanax addict. I read the thread and felt compelled to throw in my little bit here.
I hope it helps and god bless you.
