I've talked with several frequent users of GHB, and they've said that the salt actually makes a big difference in the subjective effects. One person vastly preferred MgGHB to the other salts, saying it was the most euphoric. Another claimed KGHB was an order of magnitude more euphoric than NaGHB. Personally, I've only had NaGHB but it seems interesting - how could different salts affect the the experience?

Xyrem is the shit. Not sure which salt that is.. but I know its really salty and its the shit.=D

MgGHB, man that would be perfect for all us deficient post industrial westerners.

"Magnesium. Something my body needs anyway."

I could see the potassium form of GHB supplementing a diet that's mainly processed foods and restaurant meals, as many people aren't getting their daily potassium by eating this way. KGHB could be a secret lifesaver for some hypokalemic folk, haha. Though the magnesium form would provide greater benefit methinks, imagine dosing on the same substance that's host to a necessary ion which could be working to lower drug tolerance at the same time one slides into the GHB experience. Sounds great for those with pre-existing tolerances to everything else, they could theoretically come back to their drugs of choice after a couple of months living on MgGHB (taper please) and enjoy the benefits of their greatly lowered opiate tolerance while kicking GHB, sounds like an awful time actually.

/amphetamine induced rant at 4 am, hoorah.

I would imagine any oral GHB would be subject to HCl and bicarbonate in the digestive tract, so I don't think it really matters.

MgGHB shouldn't have a taste like K or NaGHB.

I've tried the potassium salt and saw no difference in effects. It tastes different but thats about it. Some people say it kicks in slower. Not in my experience.
